Cold Case Season 6 Coming To Sky One
The Emmy® award nominated crime drama Cold Case returns to Sky1 and Sky1 HD this October, and promises to be the most explosive season yet. Starring Bobby Cannavale (Will & Grace, Sex and the City) as wise-cracking narcotics cop Eddie Saccardo and Kathryn Morris (Minority Report, Paycheck) as detective Lilly Rush, the season opens with Saccardo continuing to get under Rush’s skin as sparks fly between them. But will the unlucky-in-love Lilly finally get her happy ending?
The dramatic season opener finds the Philadelphia Homicide squad re-investigating the 1973 murder of a football player. When new evidence is discovered, it becomes clear that the victim may have been killed earlier than originally reported. Will Lily and her dogged team solve the long-forgotten crime, or is the case destined to gather dust?
As well as a host of gripping unsolved cases that include flashbacks to the Apollo11 moon landing in 1969 the Korean War in 1951, for the first time theseries will delve into the personal lives of regular characters including Detective Kat Miller (Tracie Thoms, Deathproof).
Executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimerand Jonathan Littman (Without A Trace, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Cold Case uses flashbacks to weave stories from the past into current action, allowing viewers see suspects and witnesses then, and now; how they looked at the time of the crime and how they look today. Determined and resourceful detective Lilly Rush works on “cold cases” for the Philadelphia Police Department, reopening dormant, unsolved homicides that occurred years or even decades ago. With her uncanny knack for eliciting confessions from the most reluctant witnesses, Rush crusades for long-voiceless victims.
Cold Case also stars Danny Pino (The Shield) as Detective Scotty Valens, John Finn (Catch Me If You Can) as Lieutenant John Stillman, Thom Barry (The West Wing) as Detective Will Jeffries and Jeremy Ratchford (Leatherheads) as Detective Nick Vera.
