The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the second science-fiction adventure film which is based on author Suzanne Collins‘ ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the sequel to ‘The Hunger Games’ which was first released back in 2012 and starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson to name a few.
Coldplay have written a song for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ movie which is due for release on the 22nd of November this year.
The track, called ‘Atlas’ (which you can hear below) has been released online ahead of the original scheduled release.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence recently spoke about Coldplay being involved in the movie: “I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film,”
“Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further, and we can’t wait to share this music with audiences around the world.”
Head of Film Music at Lionsgate Tracy McKnight also added: “We are so honoured that Coldplay, one of the iconic rock bands of our generation, will perform the first song out on the new soundtrack.”

The world premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will take place in London on the 11th of November with the general release on the 22nd of November.
