Famous WAG, Coleen Rooney, has filmed a documentary at Liverpool’s Alder Hey children’s hospital which is to air on Christmas Day.

Coleen’s sister, who has the rare and crippling disease Rett Syndrome, is treated at Alder Hey and the brave 10 year old joins Coleen in this moving special documentary which goes behind the scenes of the pioneering hospital.

Coleen has long been a supporter of the hospital and said of it, “Christmas is all about children, and the staff at Alder Hey work particularly hard to make Christmas on the wards an especially memorable one for all its young patients.

“The hospital is particularly special to me as my little sister Rosie is a regular patient here. It’s a place of inspiration and hope, full of Christmas joy all year round.

“The staff, nurses and doctors are great and care about what they do. It’s a place of inspiration and hope, full of Christmas joy all year round.”
