Greg Wilson (Martin Freeman) is an ex-child star. At 14, he was a child magician: precocious, smug and very punchable. Twenty years later, Greg works in a leather sofa shop, the early promise of his life unfulfilled. He is simply trying to get on with life. But his past won’t let him go that easily…

When Greg is recognised by a customer who asks for his autograph, one disastrous event leads to another and he finds himself in a prison cell facing a year-long prison sentence.
