Coming Up In Coronation Street This Week……

It’s busy on Coronation Street this week and on Monday, Clarissa grows increasingly suspicious of Liz and Harry and resorts to becoming an amateur detective to catch him out. She manages to engineer things so that Liz thinks Harry’s taking her to a charity ball but in fact, Clarissa’s going to go, so how’s Harry going to get out of taking Liz?

Rosie is still furious with her mum and dad for not believing that John kidnapped her while Fiz struggles to cope with seeing him around the street all the time. Vernon’s still miserable about Liz and decides to give her one last chance to choose him, but will she?

Super mouth Janice and scheming Leanne have decided to keep the lottery win for themselves and split the money. Their plan is to open a bank account in Rosie’s name – as she was in charge of the lottery – and use the flat above the kebab shop as her false address. Oh dear, that’s going to end in tears for our Wosie – as Sally calls her – isn’t it?

In Monday’s second episode, Liz is oblivious to the fact that Clarissa’s determined to be the one Harry takes to the ball so she’s busy spending a fortune on clothes and hairdos for their date. Harry can’t bring himself to tell Liz she’s not going so in an act of astounding and ill advised non-diplomacy, he and Clarissa go to the pub dressed for the ball. Needless to say, Liz isn’t impressed but Vernon sees this as his chance to get back with the blonde bombsite.

Tony’s not a happy henchman when Carla refuses to go to the Fashion Awards with him, so he decides to wind her up by asking Rosie to go instead and even gives her money to buy a new outfit, much to Sally’s irritation.

On Wednesday, Rosie’s excited about the Fashion Awards and the fact that she’s going with Tony and can’t resist winding Kevin up by telling him about all the sexy clothes she’s bought for the do. However, her excitement is short lived because as she’s waiting at the Rovers, all dressed up, Tony and Carla arrive and tell her that Carla’s going after all. Tony is unaware though that the only reason Carla changed her mind and agreed to go is because Liam cancelled their meeting. He’s looking after Maria who’s unwell. She’s hoping it’s morning sickness but Liam isn’t so sure it is.

Liz is still furious with Harry and decides she’s had enough of his games and that she’s going to pay him back for messing her around. With Clarissa’s help, the unlikely allies are going to literally catch Harry with his trousers down!
Janice and Leanne hatch a plan to tell the street’s residents that Leanne’s uncle died leaving them some money and elsewhere, Tyrone agrees to be Kev’s partner at the garage.

Our last weekly stroll down the street on Friday sees an intrigued Tony deciding to follow Rosie to her hotel room to find out exactly what she is up to. He’s stunned to find her half naked and sprawled on the bed and tells her that she’s got the wrong idea; he loves Carla and wouldn’t risk losing her for a fling with “a silly little girl.”

Humiliated, Rosie shows him the mobile phone footage of Carla and Liam as retaliation but he doesn’t react as she expects him to.
Elsewhere, Janice and Leanne flash their cash around in the Rovers but Leanne worries that rent-a-gob Janice might blow their cover story. Jerry shocks his family with his suggestion that they all move abroad and Sophie does well in her exams.
