Coming Up In This Week’s Emmerdale………

It’s going to be a busy week in Emmerdale, so here’s a round-up of what’s coming up. Be warned, spoilers are included!

In Monday’s Emmerdale, Val’s so sick of Nicola – as is pretty much everyone except David – that she throws her out. As she’s not got a penny to her name and is homeless, Paul reluctantly takes his obnoxious half-sister in. Katie’s not too chuffed about it but is later furious when Nicola ruins the only photo she has of Perdy and the baby.

Debbie tells Eli that she’s not going to try to get custody of Sarah but undeterred, Eli still plans to propose to her. However, after a bungled attempt at surprising her with the ring, he seeks Marlon and Gennie advice on how to do it right.

At the B&B, Jamie’s worried that Louise is avoiding him but she tells Terry that it’s because she’s lost her engagment ring and doesn’t want Jamie to find out.

On Tuesday, Zak’s furious to hear that Eli is going to propose to Debbie but that doesn’t put Eli off his mission to wed-a-cousin. He plucks up the courage to pop the question when he takes Debbie for a picnic. She’s at first only amused by it but when Eli explains that he loves her and wants to help her get Sarah back, she finally agrees but stresses to him that it’s just a ‘business’ arrangement. Why it is that the pair think any custody judge is going to think that an ex-con and a runaway mother, who are related to each other, would make better parents than Jo and Andy is anybody’s guess.

Anyway, when the pair head to the Woolly to celebrate, Louise sees that Debbie’s wearing her engagement ring and furiously demands it back. Eli remarks that it couldn’t have meant much to her given she was so careless with it which enrages Jamie and a brawl ensues after which Debbie calls the whole thing off.
Depressed and angry, Eli storms off and – as is his tendency – steals a car in which he drives off at speed. However, as he’s tearing away, he fails to see a pedestrian and clips her with the side of the car. The horrified Eli stops to see if the woman is alright and is then shocked when she tries to carjack him. But is this someone Eli already knows?
Back with Noxious Nicola, she’s trying to get money out of ex-husband Donald so that she and David can set up home together, but she didn’t bank on Anna being as devious as she is and is persuaded by her to become a DeSousa spy in return for Anna ensuring she gets her money.

Wednesday sees Anna asking Matthew to take Nicola on at Home Farm and as he wants to stay in DeSousa’s good books, he agrees. One of Nicola’s first jobs is to secure new clients so she approaches Louise and Jamie and offers them a good price if they use Home Farm for their wedding. She’s delighted when they agree but later faces Paul’s wrath when he hears that he’s now been sacked as their wedding planner.

At the Dingles, Eli tries to get rid of Danielle – the woman he hit with the car – but the lady in question is in some trouble and wants to stay. Later, when Debbie’s visiting, she appears wearing only a shirt of Eli’s and Debbie – as is commonplace in soapy world – gets the wrong end of the stick.

Elsewhere, Ashley is worried when Laurel falls asleep during one of his sermons – I’d be worried if she didn’t – and wonders if the lack of bums on seats in church is because his sermons are boring. However, Laurel reckons that they can boost church numbers by starting up the choir again, but will the villagers take part?

Thursday sees Nicola wanting to reconcile with Rodney and Paul – who threw her out – after she spends an uncomfortable night at Edna’s. Her efforts backfire though when she gets Rodney into trouble at Home Farm, so as he’s even less impressed with his daughter than he was before, the chances of him welcoming her back to the family are slim.

With the Dingles, Danielle is getting on everyone’s nerves so Eli takes her to a hostel, but will she stay there or will she use Belle to get round the family?

Ashley and Laurel are pleased when some of the villagers want to join the choir but their numbers are still too small to do anything constructive. Will new parishoner Oliver save the day or is he not what he seems to be? Ashley’s certainly going to hope someone saves the day because Bishop George tells him that the church may need to close.

The final rural offering of the week on Friday sees Lily surprised when her son Peter turns up in a bedraggled state and later despairing when she can’t help him and he refuses to ask Edna for help.

Donna’s fed up of Marlon’s fussing and is bored at home so she helps Jamie out in the café but isn’t very friendly towards Ross when he calls in.

Elsewhere, Danielle’s still after Eli and tells him that he’s the only man who’s ever treated her kindly so when they share a passionate kiss in the barn, she knows she’s got him right where she wants him. Ooooh er Mrs!
