Coming up on Coronation Street

On Monday at 7:30pm, it’s the day of John’s court case and Fiz has decided she’s going to support him. Kirk and Julie are horrified that that she wants anything to do with the demented ex-teacher, but Fiz is determined to go.
At the court, John’s touched to see Fiz and in a heartfelt revelation, he tells the judge that he deeply regrets abducting Rosie and hurting the love of his life, Fiz. As the judge prepares to pass sentence, Fiz waits anxiously…
Becky promises Jason that it’s him she wants to be with adding that she and Steve are history. Meanwhile a bitter and angry Michelle bumps into Becky and Jason and can’t resist letting rip at the woman she had considered a close friend.
Gary continues to wind David up by flirting with Tina and when Gary makes a comment about a consignment of copper piping that Joe and Bill are unloading, Joe sees red and warns him to stay away from Tina. However, it seems that Gary might be more interested in the copper piping than in Joe’s daughter. Meanwhile, Tina isn’t sure that Joe’s move into Gail’s is such a good idea.
Maria, newly arrived back from her trip, is confronted by Tony who wants to know if she’s “feeling any better” while Dev’s less than impressed when Tara gives Amber a car as a late birthday present.
At 8:30pm, Audrey discovers that Joe’s working for Bill and decides to tell Gail who’s concerned and questions Joe about his kitchen fitting business. But she’s stunned when Joe goes mad and accuses her of interfering. This is a side of Joe that she’s not really seen before and it worries her.
Meanwhile, Gary Windass has taken no notice of Joe’s warning and continues to try to woo Tina, while at the same time, planning to rob the yard with his Uncle Len. A suspicious David watches them drive away from the yard, convinced they’ve been up to something.
Fiz later tells Julie and Kirk about John’s sentence and a concerned Julie warns Fiz that if she visits John in prison, he’ll expect her to be there waiting for him when he comes out. The Websters meanwhile are thrilled that John’s been sent to prison and celebrate in the Rovers.
With Michelle visiting her parents in Ireland, a desperate Steve begs Becky to give him another chance but she insists that she’s happy with Jason.

On Wednesday, Bill and Jason arrive at the yard to discover that the copper piping has been stolen. Aware of Joe’s money problems, Jason immediately wonders if he’s responsible for the theft. Gail’s worried that Joe hasn’t been home since their row and Tina finds him at his lock-up where she tells him to sort himself out.
Joe then heads back to work where he finds out about the burglary. When Gary suggests he might be the thief, Joe pins him against the wall and has to be pulled away by a shocked Bill and Jason.
Over at the Windasses, Eddie’s convinced that Gary and Len had something to do with the robbery and he urges Gary to do something with his life rather than follow a life of crime. Gary wastes no time in pointing out that he hasn’t had the best of role models in his dad but Eddie still covers for Gary when David arrives and accuses him of thieving the pipe.
Maria goes back to work at the salon and finds out from Emily about Jed’s sudden disappearance. She’s immediately suspicious and can’t help wondering if Tony is behind it.
Elsewhere, Chesney tries to set Fiz up on a date with Graeme but while she’s touched by his concern, her heart just isn’t in it.
In Friday’s 7:30pm episode, Maria’s determined to get to the bottom of Jed Stone’s disappearance and decides to confront Tony.
Alone in the factory with him, she accuses him of murdering Jed and is stunned when he confesses that he strangled him with a negligee and put his body in one of the hampers. As Maria stares at him, horrified, he describes how the Underworld staff partied around the hamper, unaware that Jed’s seemingly lifeless body was inside.
Meanwhile, Kevin and Sally are shocked when they open the morning paper to find a spicy article – complete with saucy photographs – of Rosie talking about her ‘ordeal’ at the hands of John Stape.
Ashamed that Rosie’s cashing in on her kidnap, Kevin and Sally are left reeling when they then discover a home pregnancy testing kit in the bin. When Rosie insists it isn’t hers, they’re left with only one other explanation… one that’s too awful to contemplate.
Ken tells Deirdre that he’s heard from Adam who’s told him that Peter’s back on the booze in Portsmouth.
Elsewhere, Gail’s worried sick about Joe and confides in Tina who finds him at his lock-up. She tells him he’s being unfair on Gail and begs him to come home but will Joe listen? Meanwhile, Eddie gets some more players to hand over £20 to sign up to the darts team.
At 8:30pm, a terrified Maria races out of the factory, closely followed by Tony. She’s hysterical as she tells Fiz and Emily that Tony confessed to Jed’s murder but it’s clear that nobody really believes her. She begs Fiz to listen but Fiz is deeply worried about her friend’s state of mind.

Tony continues to play the victim and tells Carla that rather than get an injunction against Maria, he thinks she needs medical help.
Later, after ‘gathering evidence’, Maria turns up in the pub in her pj’s and accuses Tony of killing both Liam and Jed, prompting everyone to think that she’s finally lost the plot.

Sally and Kevin are horrified when Sophie tells them that it was her pregnancy test and what’s worse, it was positive. As they struggle to come to terms with the news, Sophie breaks down and confesses the real truth behind her behaviour, leaving Kevin and Sally feeling they’ve failed as parents.
Elsewhere, Anna Windass is furious with her husband when he tells her that he’s been mugged and all the darts team money was stolen. She knows that it’s just another of his scams.
