A stunned Luke then confronts Peter about what’s going on with him and Michelle but on hearing it was a “one-off”, Luke decides to give Michelle one last chance and tells her he’s in love with her as he asks her to stay. It quickly becomes obvious to Luke that he’s wasting his time though and as he leaves, Peter decides to make his bid. Telling Michelle he’s fallen for her, Peter begs her not to go and Michelle’s tempted to stay…
Tina confronts Gary about his “wandering” hands and, realising it’s impossible for them to be just friends, she resolves to have nothing more to do with him. Meanwhile, Jason chances his arm and asks Tina out for a drink. How will she respond?
Audrey and Gail are planning their trip to see Sarah but when David realises Audrey’s house will be empty while she’s away, he comes up with a plan of his own.
Fiz’s letter to John is returned to her and, heartbroken, Fiz wonders how John’s coping, especially when Anna tells her that “prison changes people”.
Also, when Hayley sees the cardboard cut-outs of Eddie posing as Roy Cropper ‘one millionth customer’ at the wholesalers, it looks like his game is up.
In the 8.30pm episode, as Peter pleads with Michelle to stay, he tells her that he needs her. Michelle’s torn, but, still raw from her break-up with Steve, she refuses to let her guard down with a man again. Telling Peter that neither of them are over their last partners yet, she reveals she’s still leaving. It’s an emotional goodbye for Michelle but as she bids farewell to Maria and Ryan, will she have second thoughts?
Elsewhere Peter’s taken Michelle’s decision hard and admits to Ken that he’s struggling to stay off the booze and when he then finds a bottle of Blanche’s sherry at the flat, he breaks down. Will Peter fall off the wagon?

Hayley brings home the cardboard cut out of Eddie to an angry Roy and a devastated Anna. Humiliated, Anna confronts Eddie about his latest scam and as they apologise to the Croppers, Anna worries that she may lose her job. Hayley however knows it wasn’t her doing and reassures Anna she still has her job. Feeling guilty, Eddie then hands the holiday over but while Roy thinks going to Paris would be dishonest, Hayley really wants to go.
David discusses ‘the job’ with Gary prompting Len to become suspicious of the two, but Gary assures him that David may be useful and seems to have a plan. Meanwhile, feeling vengeful, David steals Joe’s new bottle of pills.
Meanwhile, Kevin starts to wonder if there may be something between Jason and Molly who are training more and more together.
Also, Julie offers to become Sean’s life coach when he complains that he’s bored with his life and lack of love.
On Wednesday, as Audrey and Gail leave for Italy, David watches his Gran hand over her keys to Natasha. Slipping them out of the salon, he tells Gary ‘the job’ will happen tomorrow before heading to Audrey’s and hiding any evidence that it’s her house. Sneaking the keys back into the salon, David feels satisfied that his plan is coming together.

Joe meanwhile is in immense pain with his back and after spending the day looking for his ‘lost’ painkillers, he’s desperate. As Joe tears the living room and kitchen apart looking for his pills, David watches in shock as his nearly-stepdad goes on a rampage.
As Peter clears up the smashed sherry bottle, he cuts his hand and knowing it looks bad, he’s forced to stop Ken from entering the flat. Peter’s hit rock bottom again but Blanche catches him as he’s about to buy a drink in the Rovers. Telling her about the sherry, they go back to Ken’s house where Peter admits he’s struggling to stay off the alcohol.

Kevin’s suspicions about Molly and Jason grow, especially when Jason suggests that he’d like to settle down and would happily swap places with Tyrone any day.

Elsewhere, Poppy becomes increasingly irritated with Betty and her “lazy” attitude to work and Julie tries to sort Sean out.
On Friday’s first visit at 7.30pm, David has miraculously found Joe’s painkillers and with the pills in his hand, Joe repairs the kitchen, calm restored. Meanwhile, after taking Gary on a recce outside Audrey’s, he gets Graeme involved in his plan, giving him a mobile phone to call the police once Gary’s in the house. Back on the street, David watches Gary head off to Audrey’s and then serves dinner for Joe, which will act as his alibi.

Next, David calls Gary to say he can’t make it as he has to take Joe to casualty. Gary’s angry but enters the house alone. Then, just as Graeme’s about to call the police, Ted arrives at Audrey’s. Gary hears him and grabs the poker from the fireplace…
Elsewhere, Blanche is suspicious of Peter’s performance last night but Ken wants to support him. Telling Peter he needs professional help to beat his addiction, Ken gives him information on an organization which could help.

Peter goes to the meeting but, surrounded by addicts, Peter freaks out. In denial, he walks out of the group. Will Peter return to the bottle?
At the Rovers the atmosphere’s strained as Poppy and Betty’s relationship grows increasingly frosty and Steve upsets Sean by asking Becky to pose for the charity photo for the Gazette. As Steve tries to sort out Sean, Poppy decides to do a new rota, completely leaving out Betty. Steve’s confused as Betty accuses him of getting Poppy to sack her.
At 8.30pm, as Graeme informs David that Ted’s in the house, he starts to panic about his plan going wrong. Gary meanwhile is desperate to get out of Audrey’s and as Ted comes upstairs, he makes a run for it. Ted recognises him and makes a grab for Gary but, pushing past him, he gets away. In shock, Ted calls David to tell him about the burglary.

As they wait for the police to arrive, David worries about Ted but is satisfied Gary will finally be caught. It looks like he’s got his revenge as the police arrive at the Windasses but as Ted cries out in pain and collapses, David’s terrified that it’s all his fault.
Ken, Deirdre and Blanche are disappointed that Peter hasn’t given the meeting a chance. Peter himself is in a foul mood and back at the flat, he bawls at Simon for little reason. Mortified at taking his frustration out on his son, Peter leaves Simon with the Barlows and returns to the meeting but feels awkward as he’s asked to talk to the group. Will he admit to his addiction?
As Steve tries to restore calm at the Rovers, he’s in a no win situation; Betty’s angry at being sacked by Poppy and despite Steve reversing the decision, she won‘t promise she‘s coming back. Poppy meanwhile is annoyed that Steve isn’t standing by her decisions as manager.

Elsewhere, Bill goes to a singles night in a hotel bar and pretends he was in the army to impress a woman. While there, he bumps into Pam who’s pretending to be a concert pianist and they agree to share a taxi home. It’s a successful night as they pair off with Vanessa and Gilbert and arrange to a double date.
