Coming up on Coronation Street
In the first visit of the week on Monday at 7:30pm, Rosie’s nursing a hangover and hasn’t surfaced yet. Sally tells Kevin that their daughter’s considering investing in Underworld and Kevin isn’t happy about it. Sally however thinks it’s a great idea and wastes no time finding Luke with a proposition of her own – if Rosie’s going to invest in the factory, she wants Rosie’s job as PA.
Fiz is growing increasingly concerned about John and despite having no visiting order, she heads off to the prison with a letter for him. She pleads with the governor to let her see him but without a visiting order, it’s clear she’s getting nowhere near him, despite the fact he’s on suicide watch. After making a scene around other visitors arriving at the prison, she realises that desperate measures are called for. John’s stunned when he’s called to the governor’s office and, via the CCTV screen, he sees Fiz chained to the prison railings complete with a banner asking him to marry her!
Jack’s worried about the problems he’s causing between Molly and Tyrone and he tells Pam that Tyrone only has his best interest at heart, hence his suspicions about Connie. However, Molly’s convinced that Connie’s good for Jack and tells Tyrone he’s having tea with them later, whether he likes it or not.
Slug calls in the Rovers again to see Becky, arousing Lloyd’s suspicions. Sean also watches with interest at the familiar banter that starts between the two old friends.
Elsewhere, Minnie manufactures a date with Jason, much to Tina’s amusement, while Bill and Pam agree to write each other’s adverts for the personal ads.
At 8:30pm, faced with Fiz’s very public protest, the governor relents and lets her see John He’s overjoyed to see her and tells her he can’t live without her. She repeats her proposal in person and an ecstatic John accepts before he’s dragged away by the prison officers.
Kevin’s horrified as Rosie heads out to meet Luke dressed to the nines in an eye popping outfit that cost a fortune. In the Rovers, Luke can’t believe his luck as Rosie makes it very clear that not only does she want to invest in the factory, but she also doesn’t mind mixing business with pleasure!
Molly cooks dinner for Tyrone, Jack and Connie, but the evening gets off to a bad start when Tyrone accuses Connie of just being after Jack’s money. Jack’s furious at Tyrone’s behaviour and tells him that he’s going to look for somewhere else to live.
Tina’s amused as she watches a tipsy Jason makes a fool of himself with Minnie; he’s convinced she’s asking him to stay the night so when she gives him the brush off, he moves on to Tina who makes it clear that she’s not willing to be Minnie’s understudy. But does she really mean it?
Steve quizzes Becky about Slug and she confirms that he’s an ex boyfriend who used to have a drug problem. She tries to convince him that Slug has cleaned up his act, but Steve isn’t impressed that her ex has visited the pub twice.
On Wednesday, Molly’s confused by the mixed signals she’s getting from Kevin and when he fails to show for training yet again, she finds him at the garage. She demands to know why he’s giving her the cold shoulder just days after telling her how fantastic she is, but even she couldn’t have anticipated his reasons. She’s stunned as he tells her that he can’t stop thinking about her and wants to jump on her every time he sees her. How will Molly react to Kevin’s proclamation of lust?
Rosie’s spent the night at Luke’s and it seems he’s accepted her plan to invest in the factory. Smug and in control after a night of passion with the boss, Rosie heads for work and makes it clear to the gobsmacked factory girls that she only way she’ll be returning to Underworld is as management!
Becky’s behaving mysteriously and Steve’s worried that Slug is somehow behind her strange mood. When she returns from a shopping trip, she’s hurt and disappointed that he thought she’d gone off to see Slug.
Elsewhere, Jason apologises to Tina for drunkenly coming on to her and amused, she agrees they can be mates. Jack tries and fails to convince Tyrone that Connie is just a friend.
On Friday at 7:30pm, it’s the day of Gary’s court case and the Windasses are dreading the outcome. David meanwhile can’t contain his glee as he contemplates the odds of Gary going to prison. Still angry with his grandson’s behaviour, Ted bans David from going to the court to gloat.
Molly and Kevin are both confused about their feelings for each other and their mixed emotions are threatening to cause problems at home. Kevin finds himself rowing with Sally about Rosie and over at number 9, Molly and Tyrone are at loggerheads over Jack and Connie. Later, Molly calls into the garage to clear the air with Kevin but their conversation leaves them both more confused than ever.
An excited Fiz is desperate to tell someone about her proposal to John so she pours her heart out to a slightly concerned Hayley.
Maria and Tony have settled into a nice routine at number 7 but Maria’s desperate to have the baby and reads Tony some ideas from her maternity book; there’s an embarrassing moment for the pair when one of the suggestions to bring labour on is sex.
Elsewhere Jesse calls into the Rovers to see Eileen.
At 8:30pm, Kevin and Molly are flirting shamelessly when Sally bangs on the garage door. Panicking, Molly hides in the boot of a car. Soon after, she’s about to make her escape but then Tyrone arrives and she’s forced to say put while Sally arranges for the four to go for a drink together later. In the Rovers Kevin and Molly can’t keep their eyes off each other and when they snatch a moment alone at the bar, Kevin asks her to go running tomorrow, just the two of them. Molly’s knows what he really means, so will she agree?
When the Windasses arrive back from court without Gary, David can’t hide his pleasure knowing Gary’s now behind bars. As he gloats, Tina makes it clear that she hates David but cocky as ever, he’s convinced she’ll come round.
Meanwhile, Tina’s got other ideas and as she shares a drink with Jason, she flirts with him. Back at the Grimshaw’s, Tina’s had enough of the game playing and when she asks Jason to kiss her, he finally makes his move.
Eileen’s also made her move on Jesse and he accepts her offer of a coffee, but when they get back to the Grimshaw’s, they open the door to find Jason and Tina ripping each other’s clothes off. Will Eileen miss out on her own night of passion?
Finally, Tony’s cooked a curry for Maria in a bid to bring on her labour and as they relax in each other’s company, it looks like they’re set for another cosy night in, or will the curry work it’s magic?
