Coming up on Coronation Street

gary-windass

On Monday in the 7:30pm episode, it’s the day of Gary’s court case and there are mixed feelings about it on Coronation Street. Gary’s scared stiff that he’ll be sent down and David’s worried that Tina won’t turn up to court. Joe, meanwhile, is feeling guilty about the pressure he’s putting on his daughter, while Anna tries to comfort her family…

At the court, Gary and David provoke each other about the trial as Gary becomes more cocky every minute that Tina doesn’t show. Will she turn up and take the stand?

Ken admits to Ted that he has feelings for Martha but that he doesn’t want to hurt Deirdre. Ted suggests that Ken should tell Martha that he just wants to be friends, but will Ken have the courage to do the right thing?

Steve offers to buy Becky a new engagement ring but she insists that she’s happy with Michelle’s old one. She’s not so relaxed about the wedding though after going to the registry office and booking it for Friday, March 13th; she’s already panicking about the day being unlucky.

Graeme manages to impress the neighbours with his gardening skills when he helps Colin fit a window box for Rita. But as usual, Norris finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time with disastrous consequences…

Elsewhere, Luke persuades the girls to do some overtime after he manages to secure a big order from a local company.

At 8:30pm, David’s thrilled and relieved when Tina arrives in court just in the nick of time. Gary, however, is devastated, but after David takes the stand and tells the court that Gary started the fight, Tina realises that she can’t keep lying and tells the jury that it was David who threw the first punch.

Who will the jury believe? And will David and Tina’s relationship recover from the ‘disloyalty’?

The harmonious atmosphere that Luke’s brought to the factory doesn’t last long as Rosie feels she’s being pushed out by Julie’s good working relationship with the new boss. As Luke turns to Julie to help him sort out the overtime, a spiteful Rosie taunts Janice about her lack of education. But ever the peacemaker, Luke steps in and offers to pay for Janice to do a first aid course.

Meanwhile, Luke’s happy to play ‘the long game’ when Maria tells him that she wants more time to think about his offer to buy Lad Rags.

Graeme puts the finishing touches to Rita’s window box but Norris is still suffering and is forced to wear a brace after the compost accident.

Liz discovers that Lloyd lied to her about Friday when he said he was working and she discovers that he wasn’t. Just what is Lloyd up to?

Elsewhere, Leanne gets a job offer running a restaurant in Leeds.

In Wednesday’s 7.30pm show, the fallout from the court case continues to cause problems as the Platts and the Windasses return to Coronation Street. Gail’s stunned to discover that David asked Tina to lie for him and a row breaks out that results in accusations being thrown about.

None of this is helped by the arrival of Gary Windass back on the street and he takes great delight in taunting David. This proves too much for Tina and when David accuses her of fancying Gary, she tells him it’s over between them.

Leanne’s wondering what to do about the job offer in Leeds when she gets a call from Peter saying he’ll be home tomorrow. She eventually decides to turn down the offer and stay in Weatherfield to be with Peter and Simon.

Luke’s continuing to impress the locals but Dev’s less than impressed when he finds Tara flirting with him. Tara decides to try her luck with Dev while he’s feeling jealous and asks him about funding an art gallery she wants to set up. Dev’s distracted though when he gets an email from his Uncle Umed in India saying he’s coming to stay.

Elsewhere, Norris is surprised when Mary tells him that her mother is moving into a home and she invites him to go travelling with her in the motor home.

On Friday at 7.30pm, David’s furious with Tina and blames her for betraying him and blames Joe for encouraging her but Gail tells David that he’s got no one to blame but himself for Tina walking out. Meanwhile, Graeme tells David he’s going to make a move on Tina now that she’s a free agent. Despite her anger at her son, Gail tries to talk to Tina to get her to give David another chance but she’s thwarted by the arrival of Graeme who’s bearing flowers.

Peter arrives home from Portsmouth and Leanne’s delighted to see him. He tells her that it was only the thought of her and Simon that kept him going while he was in rehab. They then spend the afternoon in bed, unaware that a woman has arrived on the street looking for Peter…

Norris and Mary go for a practice run in the motor home and Norris tells a thrilled Mary that he’d love to go travelling with her. Emily’s worried however that Norris has only agreed because he feels side-lined by Colin’s relationship with Rita. Is she right?

Elsewhere, Becky asks Hayley if she’ll make her a wedding dress covered in sequins and Ken lies to Deirdre saying he’s going to the cinema when really, he’s visiting Martha.

leanne-and-peter

In the 8.30pm episode, Leanne’s completely thrown when a woman called Christina turns up at the bookies asking after Peter and she explains how they’ve just spent a couple of weeks on her father’s yacht together! After initially denying that he knows Christina, Peter’s forced to come clean and admits that he left rehab to crew a yacht with a mate and ended up having a fling with Christina. How will Leanne react to this bombshell after she looked after his son and shop while he was away?

Oblivious to what’s going on at the bookies Deirdre tells a distracted Ken how well Peter and Leanne are getting on… little does she know that the sins of the father have been repeated by the son, and are still being repeated by the father!

Roy does his best to try and convince Liz that Becky has a heart of gold and that Liz should really try and see the good in her. Meanwhile Lloyd confesses to Liz that he lied about his whereabouts on Friday because he was skint and couldn’t afford to take her out.

Norris and Mary discuss the places they could visit in the motor home but Rita’s quietly worried that Norris’s heart is really not in this road trip. Will he end up going?
