Coming up on Coronation Street this week…

Monday’s first walk down the Street finds Fiz and John returning from their weekend away and when John is called out to a taxi job, Fiz decides to feed his gran’s cat for him. A panicked John finds out from Eileen that Fiz is going to his gran’s house and races to his gran’s with his passengers still in the cab. Will he get there in time to stop her from finding his hostage?

Meanwhile, Tom reassures a fraught Maria about the calls to Carla on Liam’s mobile but when someone calls about Lads Rags and asks for Tom or Carla, Maria realises that Liam had secrets.

Michelle asks Becky to stand in for her while she helps JD at a gig while Dan winds Steve and Becky up making Steve wonder if he knows something.

Also, Norris is still obsessed with entering competitions and Pam persuades Molly to go to a wedding fayre.

In the second episode, at 8.30pm, Fiz can’t find the cat at John’s gran’s, but she does spot some lingerie and heads upstairs to investigate when she hears a noise. John bursts in and is forced to confess the horrible truth about Rosie. As John opens the attic door, Rosie lunges and hits John over the head…

Maria forces Tom to come clean about Carla investing in Lads Rags but he insists there was no ‘funny business’ going on. Maria confronts Tony, who manages to cover up what really happened.

Steve worries that Dan’s going to drop him in it with Michelle and suggests to Becky that she flirts with other guys to put Dan off the scent so Becky gives Michelle’s mate JD the come-on.

Also, Norris takes his quest to win the competitions a little too far for Rita’s liking.

On Wednesday, Rosie runs out of the house, but Fiz catches her and persuades her to stay put while she calls the police. Sally and Kevin are overjoyed to hear the news and race to the house to collect her. John’s taken away and a devastated Fiz returns to the Street alone.

Maria’s forced to listen as Tom tries again to explain that he set up the deal with Carla behind Liam’s back. However, Maria can’t stop the niggling doubts that something was going on between Liam and Carla.

Steve and Becky are alarmed to see Hooch arrive in the Rovers and once Michelle is out of the way, Becky goes into flirting overdrive with Steve for Hooch’s benefit.

Elsewhere, Peter goes AWOL after agreeing to buy fireworks for Simon.

In Friday’s episodes, Tony hears about Rosie’s return and turns up with a bunch of flowers, but Sally’s suspicious of his motives. Sally quizzes Rosie about Tony and she eventually reveals the truth about the video of Carla and Liam kissing.

Later, Tony’s on edge when his accountant makes it clear that Tony’s business is in dire straits and he is hugely in debt. Tony realises he needs to start selling the new apartments fast or risk facing bankruptcy.

Ken grills a weary Peter about his plans for Simon and points out that he needs to enrol him in school, but Peter can barely think about the now, let alone make plans Simon’s future.

Elsewhere, Janice is grateful for Leanne’s support when she offers to go to court with her and Fiz is taken in by the police for questioning.

Later in the second episode, Fiz realises that the police think she was involved with Rosie’s abduction, but she convinces them that she knew nothing. She then visits John, who’s still hoping they can be together, and crushes him when she insists she wants nothing more from him, other than answers.

Meanwhile, Sally saves the clip of Liam and Carla kissing from Rosie’s computer on to a memory stick. Tony arrives at the office but is preoccupied with his finances and he resorts to forging Carla’s signature so he can take money from the payroll to finance his property business.

Peter decides his only option is to do a runner from Weatherfield and leave Simon with Ken and Deirdre but Ken rumbles his plan and insists he faces his responsibilities.

Finally, Janice gets off with community service while Molly and Tyrone find themselves caught up in another of Pam’s scams.
