Coming up on EastEnders

On Monday, following the tragedy on her wedding day, Peggy makes an unexpected return to the Vic after staying with Aunt Sal for a few days but despite trying to carry on as normal, Phil and Roxy can see she’s still distraught about the events of last week.
However, Peggy’s determined to make a fresh start and announces her intention to hold a Mitchell family dinner later that day but on seeing a photo of Archie and all the wedding presents, Peggy instructs Phil to bin the lot. She’s later surprised to hear that Archie’s living at Janine’s and makes a call to him, asking him over to the Vic…
When a complacent Archie wanders into the pub, Peggy throws all the frumpy clothes he’s ever bought her in front of him and suggests that they’d be perfect for Janine. After a brief visit from Pat, Peggy asks Phil for a dramatic favour; she wants her son to kill Archie.

Meanwhile, after being overlooked by Tanya to attend a trade fair, Chelsea mentions to Patrick that Theo hasn’t called for a few weeks. He realises how happy Theo makes her and tells her to call him. So, after arranging a date at the Vic, a glammed-up Chelsea arrives in time to see Stacey throwing herself at Theo and a cat fight quickly breaks out so Phil’s forced to separate them.

Worrying that Theo doesn’t like her in the way she’d hopes he does, Chelsea confronts him with her feelings and is reassured when Theo reciprocates with a kiss.
Elsewhere, as Stacey struggles to come to terms with Danielle’s death, Mo reminds her about Lauren’s court case and tells her that the police have been in touch to check that she’s attending court. And as Ronnie tries to find closure, Stacey tells her a few home truths.

In Tuesday’s show, it’s the first day of Lauren’s court case and Tanya admits to the judge that she gave a false statement to the police.

Peter then takes the stand and begins to recount the events of Halloween, but only seems to make Lauren’s situation worse.

When Peter’s testimony is over, Max is next into the witness box and when he’s quizzed about his affair with Stacey, he snaps and suggests that the judge and jury have already come to a verdict.
Meanwhile, Chelsea eagerly anticipates another date with Theo but she’s downhearted when he doesn’t turn up on time. When he does finally arrive, the pair have a coffee and discuss Chelsea’s career. Theo suggests that the sky’s the limit and Chelsea should put Tanya out of her mind with a view to moving on to bigger and better things. Then, feeling emboldened and despite Tanya being in court, Chelsea takes it upon herself to open Booty and begin offering customers treatments and products at a discount.
On returning to Patrick’s, Libby becomes suspicious when she learns that Theo’s studying law from home and when he’s not looking, she takes a letter out of his pocket and is shocked by its contents.
Back at the Vic, Billy overhears Peggy talking about Archie and Phil tells her that everything’s set up for Archie’s murder.

Also, Ricky’s worried about Janine but is distracted when Todd reappears on the Square and Ricky catches Whitney pulling Todd’s shirt off. Finally, Mo spots Brenda with another man and she’s determined to prove that Brenda’s cheating on Charlie.

On Thursday, Lauren’s trial continues and Max tries everything he can to convince Stacey to attend court. Later, Mo’s hammering on the front door of the Branning’s and it’s not long before Tanya hears from Mo that Max tried to bribe Stacey into lying in court. Tanya tells Max to stay at home for the day before heading across the road to see Stacey herself.
Returning to the Square, Stacey reveals to Max that for Lauren’s sake, she told the jury she was confused on the night of his hit-and-run and suggested that the incident could have been an accident.

Back in court, Lauren takes the stand to recount her version of events from the night she mowed Max down. Once her testimony draws to a close, the jury retires to deliberate on its verdict.
Meanwhile, looking for some kind closure on Danielle’s death, Ronnie talks to Janine about the accident in the hope that she’ll accept the blame. Apologising to Ronnie, Janine accepts responsibility for her actions, before asking for forgiveness.
Later, after another futile attempt at putting things right with Peggy, Archie resolves to leave and after nearly kissing Janine, he’s determined to leave Walford for good. As he walks towards the tube station though, a white van pulls up beside him and an unidentified man hauls him in.
Elsewhere, an excited Charlie goes out to buy Brenda a present for her birthday but is taken aback when Jean shows him the picture that Mo took of Brenda with another man.

Also, as Libby snoops through Theo’s belongings, she discovers that he’s not at university and tells Chelsea and Darren who all become suspicious of Theo’s real motives.

Finally, after Patrick finishes reminiscing over a drink about his late fiancée Ruth, Tommy makes a shocking confession – he started the fire in which she died.
On Friday, Archie’s tied up and blindfolded in the Arches and shouting to be released. Trying to scare him, Phil tells him he has a gun and then, taking the blindfold off, Phil gags Archie, strikes up a blowtorch and reveals that he’s going to kill him at Peggy’s request. An apologetic Archie tries to worm his way out of the situation, but Phil’s having none of it.
He then unties Archie and orders him to climb into the garage pit before revealing his true intentions; he’s going to fill the pit with concrete. Despite Archie’s attempts to talk Phil round with the promise of money, Phil starts the cement mixer and comments that Peggy would inherit everything anyway.

Meanwhile, it’s an anxious time in the court waiting room as Max, Tanya and Lauren await the verdict and it’s not long before they’re called into the court and the foreman delivers the jury’s verdict of ‘not guilty’ for attempted murder. However, Max’s joy is short-lived and he leaves the courtroom when he hears the jury find Lauren guilty of GBH with intent. When Tanya emerges from the court, Max fears the worst and Tanya reveals that she was also found guilty of aggravated vehicle-taking. What does this mean for Lauren?

Elsewhere, Tommy attempts to apologise to Patrick about Ruth’s death and reveals that he wants to clear his conscience before he dies as he’s terminally ill.
Ricky tries keep Todd away from Whitney, but he soon realises that the caterpillar incident was genuine and Todd and Whitney agree to be friends.
Finally, Charlie meets Brenda’s brother Clive who suggests that Brenda tell Charlie her secret within the next two months before it’s too late…

eastenders!!! more like deadenders!!!!!
never again going to watch this depression soap!
I Think that killing Danielle was the worst thing that eastenders could have done, i think after ronnie and danielle’s dad identified the body, some people should have done an Autopsy on danielle and while they were cutting her open. she began to bleed. So in the end she could have been in a coma.
I was crying my eyes out when Danielle died. SO PATHETIC to have killed the BEST character.
Eastenders wont be good anymore without her….
From Sophie.
i think killing danielle was a bad move as i would have liked to have seen her and ronniies relationship grow as mother and daughter but on the other hand i think it is going to show a different side to ronnie that we haven’t seen yet.
I think that lauren should be allowed to go home as the whole story is being dragged out to long now and is getting boring.
And last but not least i really think that Whitney and Tod should get together as i think that she could do with someone showing her that she is worth it and that shes a great person and people care about her.
sophie i dont believe danielle was the best character there are better characters than her but she wasnt the worst and i can see where you are coming from and it is weird without her on the show
