Coming up on EastEnders

On Monday, Dawn receives an odd text message at the station and looks around with concern. Garry, meanwhile, is in good spirits that Dawn’s back, but she’s not in a cuddling mood. With Garry gone, Dawn turns to Minty and asks if he sent her a text message.
Denying that he did, he goes on to ask if she’s made a decision yet. Later, Dawn shows Phil the message she received which says, ‘I know your secret’ and she’s shocked to learn that he got the same text. As they share a cuddle, Tracey nearly walks in on them. Later, Max shows Phil the exact same message on his phone.
In the Vic, Minty gives Dawn half an hour to choose between Garry and Phil. Pushed for an answer, Dawn explains that it’s more complicated than she thought because she loves them both. Dawn finally confides in Phil that Minty knows about their affair, before revealing that she loves him and is choosing him over Garry. Phil knocks her back though, reminding her that he’s only her ‘bit on the side’ and nothing more. As Garry makes his way to the Vic, he nearly catches Dawn and Phil together, again.
Meanwhile, Lucas suggests to Denise that it might be a good idea to let Libby see her father, but Denise is adamant that Owen will never change. Chelsea, meanwhile, is put out that nobody seems to care where she’s been for the last few weeks. Libby’s in the café talking to Liz about Denise’s ‘unreasonableness’ and Liz suggests that visiting Owen inside could change her mind. Turning to Patrick for help, Liz tells Patrick that Owen’s a changed man and hopes that he’ll talk to Denise into visiting him in prison. Denise can’t believe what Patrick’s asking her to do, but when he mentions Libby’s feelings, the doting mother begins to rethink her actions. Later, Liz hands Denise a visiting order for the following day, which infuriates her.
Elsewhere, Chelsea complains to Patrick about Denise apparently not caring where she’s been. She later confides in Tanya that she split up with Ellis because he nearly hit her but she and Denise end up arguing about Chelsea’s decision to run off with Ellis in the first place. Chelsea’s mood improves though when Tanya offers her her job back at Booty.

Also, Whitney and Ryan steal Max’s car from the Arches but Whitney’s frantic when she accidentally leaves an earring in Max’s car.
Meanwhile, Jane receives a suspicious text message and, worried about it, she tells Tanya that she and Masood have had ‘moments’.
Finally, Archie tells Janine to keep out of his family’s business.
On Tuesday, after a row with Dawn, Garry confides in Minty that he suspects that something’s “not right”. Minty urges him to give Dawn some space so Garry makes a quick exit from the house. After trying to explain her predicament to Minty, Dawn lies and tells him that she’s ended things with Phil and has chosen Garry. She adds a further lie and says that Phil was upset by her decision.

At the Arches, Phil confronts Minty about issuing Dawn with an ultimatum but Minty insists that Phil shouldn’t be upset. However, Phil assures him that he’s not bothered in the slightest. Sure Dawn’s lying, Minty calls Garry to reveal all about Dawn’s infidelity, but just at the crucial moment, Garry hangs up. Concerned for Garry, Minty insists to Dawn that she tells him the truth.
Furious that Phil’s been using her, Dawn storms around to the Vic and lambastes Phil for being a “cheating scumbag”. She goes to hit him but Phil blocks her attempt. With that, Dawn threatens to come clean about their affair to Garry but Phil doubts that she actually will. Shortly after, Minty finds Garry alone in the park. Garry reveals his belief that it’s over between him and Dawn. With that, his phone rings; it’s Dawn and she says she has something to tell him…

Later, Dawn and Garry return to the Vic with an announcement – they’ve set a date for their wedding and Dawn proudly shows off her engagement ring…
Meanwhile, Denise is adamant that she won’t visit Owen in prison and insists that she won’t be emotionally blackmailed, however, Chelsea and Lucas suggest that she should go, if only for Libby. Reluctantly, Denise agrees to attend the prison while Libby feels guilty over talking her mother into going.

At the prison, Denise comes face to face with Owen and she immediately points out that she’s there only for Libby’s sake. Owen claims that he’s changed, but Denise doesn’t believe anything he says. She goes on to reveal that she’s happy and is planning to marry Lucas. On her return home, Denise tells Libby that he’s the same old Owen.
Elsewhere, Tanya tells Jane that she now completely trusts Max who walks in just as Tanya’s showing Jane her heart-shaped wax downstairs. In a good mood, Tanya invites Jane and Ian over for lunch later in the week.
Finally, Roxy’s busy preparing for her and Archie’s housewarming party but as she and Archie are chatting, he tells Roxy that he simply wants to be respected.

On Thursday, it’s the day of Roxy and Archie’s housewarming party and while Roxy wants to extend the invite to everyone, Archie wants to keep it a simple family affair so Roxy assures her dad that she’ll have a word with Peggy to see if she’ll attend. Peggy’s uncomfortable by Roxy’s invite, but she later hints to Ronnie that she may go along which doesn’t impress Ronnie in the slightest. Later, in the market, Roxy extends an invite to her sister who gratefully accepts, however, on her return to the Vic, Ronnie begins planning her own party…
In the Minute Mart, Janine tells Archie that she has a surprise for Ronnie, but Archie’s dismissive of her veiled threats. Janine then learns that Archie’s planning a party and is frustrated not to have been asked along. Ronnie overhears some of the conversation and when Archie leaves, she confronts Janine about her chat with Archie. With that, Janine venomously reveals that Archie’s paying her to spy on her and Roxy.
To Ronnie’s annoyance, Peggy decides to put in an appearance at the party but feeling guilty, she changes her mind at the last minute. Over at Archie’s house, no guests have turned up and when Roxy goes to the Vic, she walks in on Ronnie’s party. Ronnie tells her sister the motives for her party before repeating Janine’s earlier claim. Furious, Roxy goes to confront her father and his silence confirms everything. Ronnie’s thrilled when Roxy returns to the party, but there’s a shock in store for the eldest sibling…

Meanwhile, Lauren and Peter are washing Max’s car with the promise of a paid-for meal afterwards. Peter’s surprised to find an earring and Lauren points out that it doesn’t look like her mum’s. Concerned, Lauren goes to tell Tanya, but she has second thoughts when she overhears Tanya and Jane talking. Tanya mentions to her friend that Max has forgotten their anniversary and believes that he has something else on his mind. Lauren suspects the worst and when Jane leaves, Lauren shows her mum the earring that Peter found…
Elsewhere, Libby receives another visiting order from Owen and Liz invites Darren and Libby for a drink at the Vic. After their drink, Libby reluctantly says that she and Darren shouldn’t see Liz any longer in order to respect Denise’s wishes.
Also, Dawn tells Minty that she’ll marry Garry, but only if he and Phil keep quiet about the affair. Minty agrees and assures a delighted Dawn that he won’t say anything to Garry about her and Phil.
On Friday, as Lucas prepares for a job interview at the community centre, he’s surprised to open to the door to Liz who wants to speak with Libby. Liz explains to her granddaughter that she’s moving back to Spain. When Liz leaves, Libby tells Denise that she won’t see Owen if she doesn’t want her to. Just as Lucas is walking out of the house, Jordan turns up. Concerned about his son’s sudden appearance on the Square, and curious as to Trina’s whereabouts, Denise and Lucas quiz Jordan who explains that he thinks Trina to be in court.

Jordan goes on to explain that he and his mum are planning on moving house. So, as Trina’s incommunicado, Denise urges Lucas to attend his interview. During his interview, he receives a text message from Trina so Lucas explains that he has a family emergency before rushing out. Lucas returns home to find Trina, who says that she was with her solicitor arranging their divorce. In addition, she mentions that she’s moving closer to the Square in order for Lucas to have joint custody. Rushing back to the community centre, Lucas apologises for his sudden exit and the interview panel agree to give him a second chance. They eventually offer him the managerial position.
Later, Liz visits Owen for what she intends to be the last time before heading off to Spain. While there, Liz tells Owen to leave Libby and Denise alone, but he’s adamant that he won’t stop until they’ve forgiven him…
Meanwhile, Garry and Dawn are loved up, but Minty reminds Phil that Dawn’s last wedding was marred by Jase’s death. Garry returns to the Vic for his keys and Phil asks Garry if he’s doing the right thing in marrying Dawn. Returning home, Garry asks Dawn if she’s comfortable with the prospect of another wedding. At the mention of Phil’s name, Dawn becomes more adamant than ever to tie the knot and suggests that they leave Walford. Later, Garry asks Minty if he’ll sell his share of the boat in exchange for his share of the flat.

Elsewhere, Whitney overhears Lauren and Peter talking about the earring they found in Max’s car. Lauren suspects the worst when Whitney admits that it was her earring in the car, however, Whitney explains to Lauren that she and her brother Ryan took the car and that there’s nothing going on between her and Max. Tanya later feels bad for questioning Max’s fidelity again when he hands her a necklace, and Lauren concocts a story about the origins of the earring.
Finally, Ronnie’s left reeling by a surprise visitor.
