On Monday, Bianca’s reeling after discovering that Sam Mitchell’s returned to the Square while Phil’s fuming that Ricky brought her back. Bianca insists that Sam has “blood on her hands”, but Ricky explains that he couldn’t leave Sam out in Brazil on her own. With that, Peggy walks in and is delighted to see her daughter.

Phil’s concerned that the police will still want to speak with Sam, but she’s adamant that they won’t be interested in her any longer. Phil calls the family lawyer while Sam suggests that she and Billy go down into the bar for a drink. Downstairs, Ricky’s having a drink with Bianca and he explains that Phil offered him a job at the Arches if he did him a favour. Sam walks into the bar with Billy and Ricky heads over to have a drink with them before Ronnie returns to see an ecstatic Sam.

While Ricky admits that the day he spent in Brazil with Sam was one of the best he’s ever had, Phil’s talking with the family lawyer on the phone. Phil looks at his sister’s passport and arranges a time to meet the lawyer following day. Phil’s panicked when he can’t find Sam upstairs in the Vic but when he walks into the bar, he’s stunned to find her dancing on a table. Livid, he calls her upstairs while Ricky returns home with Bianca. As they’re leaving, Billy tells Ricky that Sam’s returning to Rio.

At home, Bianca reveals to Whitney that Ricky smuggled Sam back into the country. Peggy, meanwhile, claims that the evening’s events “didn’t happen”. Phil then walks through the door with Sam in tow.

A seemingly happy Ricky apologises to Bianca before revealing that Sam hasn’t actually left the country; Phil made it look like he was taking her to the airport so everyone would think that she’d disappeared again. Shortly afterwards, Ricky admits to Bianca that he thinks he’s still in love with Sam…

Meanwhile, the Masoods are having problems with their electrics at the house. Masood suggests that they ask Denise if they can borrow her cooker, but Tamwar’s reluctant to face Libby since he didn’t get the grades for Oxford. Later, Tamwar’s dismissive when Libby tries to talk to him about the Oxford freshers’ fair.

The Masoods are eating with the Foxes when the doorbell rings; it’s Tamwar. He admits to Libby that he’s been avoiding her because he didn’t get into Oxford which prompts Denise to suggest that he should appeal his grades. Lucas heads across to the Masoods to fix the electrics while Zainab tells Tamwar how proud they all are of him. She then asks Masood to bring Tamwar’s old cot down from the loft.

Elsewhere, Lucas is forced to hide Trina’s bracelet when Jordan comes to him to ask whether his mother will ever change her ways. Later, Lucas bumps into the police who ask him to accompany them to the community centre as there’s been a break-in, and Lucas prays when they leave.

On Tuesday, Roxy returns to the Square but Peggy and Phil decide not to tell her about Sam’s comeback because of how close she is with Archie. Ronnie argues that they should let her in on the secret, but she’s overruled and Sam’s left to hide in Peggy’s bedroom. Peggy acts as if nothing’s happened before suggesting that Ronnie take Roxy out for breakfast. Sam takes a call on her mobile and agrees to meet someone in the alley by the Vic.

Phil spots Ricky rushing off after sharing a kiss with Sam and just as Archie walks past, Phil pushes his sister inside, stressing the importance of keeping her cover. Later, Phil warns Ricky to keep quiet about Sam’s return. As they finish talking, Archie emerges, having heard the whole discussion.

Minty heads to the Vic for some sherry for Manda’s trifle and when Roxy sends him upstairs, Minty sees Sam and they share a hug. Phil and Peggy are quick to interrupt, insisting that nobody can know about Sam’s return. Later, Phil ushers the family lawyer into the living room where she informs Sam that she’s breached her bail conditions and Phil could be charged for assisting an offender. With the lawyer gone, Phil tries to persuade Sam to go back and stay with Grant in Brazil but as they’re talking, Roxy storms in demanding to know why Sam’s return was kept from her. Sam snaps that Roxy’s untrustworthy and a liability.

Outside, Roxy informs Archie of Sam’s return, while Ricky tells Bianca to keep quiet about Sam hiding in the pub. Bianca confides in Whitney that she didn’t tell Ricky how she feels and now can’t because Sam’s back. Whitney deviously suggests that Bianca anonymously turn Sam into the police. Bianca, however, claims that Ricky would know that it was her. When asked by Bianca, Ricky denies telling Sam that he still has feelings for her, before Archie offers him a job since Phil retracted his previous offer. Ricky turns Archie down, while Bianca resolves to win Ricky around the right way…

Elsewhere, Zainab finds a bracelet while she’s tidying and realises that Lucas must have dropped it while fixing the electrics, but she’s unaware that it’s Trina’s as Masood tells Lucas about the find. Lucas later goes to collect the bracelet but Masood claims that he can’t now find it and it must’ve accidentally been put into the jumble that they took to the mosque.

Meanwhile, Amira complains to Syed that he doesn’t spend enough time with her so, to make amends, he proudly presents her with a bracelet – Trina’s bracelet.

Also, Lucas lends Chelsea £10 but she later pays it back after winning £2,000 on a scratch-card.

On Thursday, Pat discovers Bianca cooking dinner for Ricky and rumbles the fact that she still likes him. Bianca reveals that Sam’s now back on the scene before showing off the dress she was planning on wearing. However, she spots a burn mark but Pat jumps to the rescue and offers Bianca her old “lucky” dress. When Ricky fails to show, Bianca confesses to Pat that she still loves him and decides to go to the Vic and tell him.

Over at the pub, Phil’s adamant that Sam can’t stay as he doesn’t want to go to prison for her. When Peggy goes to find her, she’s shocked to find that her daughter’s gone out. Disguised in a baseball cap and sunglasses, Sam goes to Archie’s house. Peggy and Billy eventually rumble her location and Archie claims that he’ll do anything to help so he can be a part of the family again.

Peggy’s fuming with Sam for going to Archie, before Sam confesses that her boyfriend in Rio forced her to be a table dancer. Over a cup of tea, Peggy and Sam discuss their bad luck with men and with that, Sam confides in her mum that she wants to start a new life with Ricky. Ricky turns up at the Vic and Peggy asks if he still loves Sam. Bianca soon arrives and walks in on Peggy making an announcement; Ricky and Sam are engaged. Bianca rushes out in tears while Peggy begs Phil to allow Sam one more day so she can have the send-off she deserves. Peggy then heads across to see Archie and asks him to give Sam a little more time too.

Meanwhile, Manda’s preparing for her son Adam’s return and she gives Minty a list of things to get from the shop. While he’s out, Minty pops to the Vic with a bunch of flowers, but he’s upset when Sam reveals that she’s leaving. However, Sam writes her number on Minty’s list and draws a heart around her name. Minty returns home and discovers that Adam’s there. Minty’s distracted but he looks at Sam’s number and screws it up. Adam and Minty attempt to bond over dinner and they’re getting along swimmingly until Adam discovers Sam’s number in the bin.

Elsewhere, Chelsea collects her scratch card winnings and Janine and Ryan challenge each other to see how much money they can get out of the newly flush Chelsea. However, when Janine tries to sell Chelsea a handbag, she doesn’t want to know and pours a drink over it.

Also, Masood invites Amira for dinner but she says that she’s working late. He, meanwhile, hands Trina’s bracelet back to Lucas.

On Friday, Peggy answers the phone to the Mitchells’ lawyer Ritchie Scott, while Sam’s suffering from cabin fever. Phil tells Sam to keep away from the Vic’s windows before announcing that Ritchie’s organised Sam’s return flights to Rio. Peggy suggests that they have a small bon voyage/engagement party for Ricky and Sam, and Phil agrees, so long as they keep the numbers low. With that, Peggy receives a call from Archie…

Across the Square, Pat asks Bianca if she’s going to let Sam take Ricky away from her without a fight, but Bianca insists that it’s too late. While Ricky’s packing, Pat, Bianca and the kids descend and confront him over his intentions. Whitney’s fuming, while Bianca claims she’s going to call the police about Sam. Pat, however, deters her – you should never grass on a Mitchell she tells her.

Roxy’s unhappy that she’s not allowed to attend the engagement party, while Bianca, Pat and Whitney turn up at the Vic. Peggy and Phil are fuming at their appearance while Sam shows Bianca her engagement ring. Pat urges Bianca to talk to Ricky, and just as she’s about to confess her love for him, Sam wanders in and drags him away.

Sam has cross words with Whitney, before coming to blows with Bianca and a catfight quickly breaks out. Ricky suggests that Bianca leaves and as Bianca and Whitney head for the door, Phil demands that they don’t say anything to anyone about Sam’s comeback. Outside the pub, Archie hands Phil a gift for Ricky and Sam, but Phil’s puzzled as to how he knows about their engagement. Archie claims that Peggy wants him there, but Phil returns inside, shunning Archie. Inside, Peggy admits to Phil that Sam went to see Archie before Phil reveals that Ritchie’s on her way to pick Sam up to take her to the airport.

Ricky and Sam are dancing at the Vic while across the Square at Pat’s, Bianca stares at her phone. Archie bins his engagement present and looks at his phone, too. At the Vic, Roxy hands Ronnie a mobile phone in the bar and Jay picks up the phone in the kitchen. Bianca makes a call on her mobile as Peggy prompts Ricky and Sam to prepare for Ritchie’s arrival. With that, the police suddenly turn up. Lucas is concerned by their arrival before they announce that they’re there to arrest Sam. They try to head upstairs, but Denise stops them, demanding to know why they’re not looking for Chelsea’s mugger… Someone had earlier stolen Chelsea’s handbag.

Later, Lucas suggests to Denise that they take Jordan on holiday and he’s delighted when Jordan says that he doesn’t want to talk about Trina any longer. Lucas then goes to the allotments and he throws up when he looks into the shed and sees that it’s full of flies

Also, Adam asks Minty in the café if they can call in on Sam, but Manda insists they don’t know a Sam and Minty walks out. Adam follows and asks Minty about Sam. He reveals that she’s Phil’s sister, but confides she’s not meant to be around. Adam then issues a warning to Minty about not messing his mother around.

ronnie, joel, EastEnders

Elsewhere, Ronnie finds Joel having an ice cream with one of his daughters and later, she walks in on him with his arms around Sam. Also, Jay cheekily asks Sam if her boobs wobble when she dances, causing the pair break out into an argument.

Finally, Ryan walks in on Janine who’s lying naked in bed covered with money.
