Coming up on EastEnders

On Monday, Peggy and Phil stare in amazement at Sam’s sophisticated look for her court appearance, but a frustrated Sam tells Peggy that she’s attending court on her own as she’s not a child.
Later, Sam learns that Ricky can’t make it to her hearing and when Archie offers to go along with her instead, she declines. Sam bumps into Janine in the café and when they start talking, they realise that they have common ground. Janine explains that she’s been through a similar ordeal and they soon leave the Square together.
On their return from court, Sam questions her decision to plead not guilty, but Janine urges her to stand by her guns. Janine then heads off to see Archie and they begin plotting how they’ll manage to get Sam to skip bail to bring down the Mitchell empire.

Meanwhile, Liz isn’t feeling too well and when Patrick turns up asking her to practice their dance, she’s forced to say no. However, when Patrick mentions how lonely he is with Libby at university and the others on holiday, Liz relents and agrees to practice their dancing. As their flirting intensifies, they begin dancing the tango. Later, they head to the Vic for a post-dance drink and while they’re there, Liz receives a phone call. With that, she leaves and tells Patrick that she’s had a “better offer”. Rushing to meet her mystery caller, she walks up to her son Owen.
Darren drives onto the Square in his new business venture – an ice cream van. Determined to make it a success, he searches for a willing employee to run it for him and when Tamwar and Phil turn the offer down, Darren asks Shirley. She declines though stating that she doesn’t want to work for a “mini” Ian Beale.

Elsewhere, Charlie’s upset as it’s the anniversary of his late wife Viv’s death, however, things aren’t helped when Jean and Charlie come to blows and Jean threatens to move out. Meanwhile, Stacey refuses to see Jean at the hospital but later on, Jean visits Charlie at Viv’s grave – where he’s visiting along with Masood for company – and the pair patch things up.
Also, Tamwar tries his best to persuade his mother and father to resolve their differences, causing Masood to have a heart-to-heart with Zainab about their relationship.
On Tuesday, desperate for some cash, Shirley asks Phil for a job in the Vic, but he’s distracted as he watches two guys having a dodgy meeting. Jack tries to convince Phil to let him use the pub for the evening but when Phil demands £500 in return, Jack promptly leaves.

In the café, Sam asks Janine if she’ll be chief bridesmaid at her wedding to Ricky, and Janine gladly accepts. Jack catches Sam’s eye when he walks in and with that, she asks if he has any jobs going. Sam returns to the Vic and Peggy’s annoyed when she hears that Sam has a job at R&R with Jack. Phil’s furious, too, and goes to Jack with an offer – he can have the Vic for the night for free if he agrees not to take Sam on. Jack, however, declines, having already arranged for another venue.
Livid about Jack’s decision, Phil heads back to the Vic and gives Sam a choice; work with Jack and move out, or call off the job and stay with the family. With that, Sam makes a quick phone call before revealing that she’s moving in with Ricky. Later, Phil looks out of the window and spots Jack making a deal of some kind with one of the dodgy looking guys he saw earlier in the day…
Meanwhile, Patrick’s unsure as to why Liz bolted from their date at the Vic so suddenly, but he and Pat then begin discussing their ideal partners. At the park, Liz expresses her concerns to her son Owen that he’ll revert to his old ways now that he’s been released from prison.

Later, Liz attempts to sneak Owen into Dot’s house but she’s surprised to find Pat there, helping out Jim. Pat tells Liz that Owen shouldn’t be in the house, but the doting mother explains that her son needs her support and a roof over his head as he’s just been released. Owen soon accepts a decorating job from Jim, but Pat’s concerned about his plans to stay in Walford. Pat asks Liz if Patrick knows about Owen’s return, but Liz asks her not to say anything. Later, Liz spots Pat and Patrick talking across the Square.
Elsewhere, Shirley’s still looking for a job. Heather has an asthma attack before admitting to Shirley that she’s worried about becoming a mother, so Shirley offers to cover Heather’s shifts at the launderette. She also decides to call Darren about the ice cream van venture.

Also, Archie accuses Janine of going soft on him when she reveals that she’s now Sam’s chief bridesmaid and after Archie takes a call in private, he reminds Janine that they need to keep their eye on the “prize”.
On Thursday, Heather tries to give Shirley some confidence in the ice cream van and tells her that she has to have faith in herself. Heather admits that she only has half of the rent this month, prompting Shirley to move the ice cream van to a potentially more profitable spot and leaves the jingle on repeat.

Frustrated by the noise, Zainab bounds out of her house and screams at Shirley to turn the chimes off. When Liam tries to part-pay Shirley for an ice cream with a David Beckham picture, Shirley hands over half an ice cream. It’s not long before Bianca storms across the Square and confronts Shirley. While Bianca distracts Shirley’s attention, Liam lets down the van’s tyres.
Frustrated, Shirley bins her uniform and puts a sign up in the ice cream van, which reads ‘Gone Drinking’. When Heather sees the notice, she returns home and starts packing. At the Vic, Phil listens in as Shirley bemoans her lack of cash and offers her a drink on the house. He goes on to explain that the guys he threw out of the pub the previous day were drug dealers, and Jack’s involved with them. Phil maintains that drugs are a mugs’ game, before offering to fix the tyre on the ice cream van.

Finding Heather at home all packed and ready to move out, Shirley convinces her to stay as she wants to make it up to her. Shirley then heads out to see Jack and tells him that she wants in on his scheme…
Meanwhile, Janine tells Ryan about her role as chief bridesmaid at Sam’s wedding before pondering their plans for the Vic when they take it for themselves. Their conversation’s cut short though when Sam appears and asks Janine to help her move in with Ricky, and she reluctantly goes along with it.
At Pat’s, Bianca finds a note from Ricky stating that Sam’s moving in with them. As she rows with him, Janine and Sam sneak in with all Sam’s belongings. Janine heads to the Car Lot to see Archie who’s just about to go to a hospital appointment. Janine suggests that she go with him, but Archie’s dismissive. On his return, Janine explains about the time her dad was diagnosed with cancer, prompting Archie to reveal that he’s received the all clear.
Back at her flat, Ryan walks in on Janine who looks to have been crying. She reassures him that everything’s fine and fills him in on Archie’s trip to the hospital. She venomously adds, “He’s a sad case, and all the more ripe for the picking.”

Elsewhere, Masood tells Syed that he’s going to Pakistan so Tamwar, Syed and Amira orchestrate a meeting between Zainab and Masood, during which they finally put their difference to one side.
Also, Owen takes Sugar off Abi’s hands and Patrick confronts Owen to give him an ultimatum; leave within the next 24 hours or he’ll call the police. Meanwhile, Liz tells Owen exactly how she feels about his reappearance, but Owen insists that he can fight his own battles.
On Friday, over at Pat’s, Sam scares Tiffany about going to the dentist with horror stories about needles and drills, before Sam and Bianca come to blows over her decision to move in with Ricky.
Tiffany and Bianca return from the dentist, and when Bianca tells her daughter to be careful not to get toothpaste in her hair, a plan forms in the youth’s mind. Sam’s later furious to discover that Tiffany put toothpaste in her hairbrush and, pushed to the edge, announces that she’s moving out. Sam storms over to the Car Lot where Ricky’s agreeing to do some car work for Darren. She admits that she wants to move out but Ricky insists that even if they wanted to, they couldn’t afford it. Sam, however, won’t be deterred and decides to visit Jack.

Sam turns up to see Jack and flirtily asks for an advance on her wages but Jack says that he’ll have to see if she’s worth it or not. Jack later bumps into Phil who questions what Roxy would think of his drug dealing ways, but Jack’s adamant that he has the wrong end of the stick. Jack goes on to wind Phil up that he has a sexy work outfit for Sam to wear.
With Shirley having been constantly harassing him for money, Jack calls her and checks that she knows what she’s getting into. Later, Shirley leaves and Jack pulls out a stash of cash and gives Sam a call – she can have her advance. An excited Sam tells Ricky that she’s managed to raise some cash to move out, but Ricky’s forced to admit the truth that he’s Tiffany’s father.

As Sam begins to question her future with Ricky, she returns to the Vic and asks if she can move back in, but Phil’s clear; she can, so long as she quits her job with Jack. Sam reluctantly takes the money back to Jack, but when she gets there, he mentions the sexy uniform he had for her, prompting a passionate embrace.
Meanwhile, Janine informs Ryan that she has a surprise for him and that he should meet her at lunchtime at the Car Lot. Walking away with Archie, Janine reveals her plan for the Mitchells’ downfall – between the both of them, they’ll cause Sam to skip her bail and force her to flee Walford again.
Ryan bumps into Ronnie and she suggests that they have his appraisal later in the day. Ronnie’s appraisal, though, involves Ryan alone in the cellar at the Vic. The pair kiss, but Ryan’s phone rings and with that, he runs off.
Ryan arrives to see Janine, and before she has a chance to snipe about his tardiness, he kisses her and claims that they’ll take Archie to the cleaners. Unbeknown to them, though, Archie’s seen and heard everything…
Elsewhere, Heather and Mo come up with a new business plan and Zainab invites Jane for lunch as an apology.

Also, Darren thinks he’s seen someone who looks like Owen wandering around the Square, so when confronted, Patrick’s forced to come clean about Owen’s return. Patrick argues with Jim about allowing Owen to decorate in the house, but later, Patrick turns up with Libby to see Owen. Libby tells Patrick that Denise is staying on holiday for an extra week so Owen can stay.
Finally, someone takes a photo of Christian and Syed as they talk down an alleyway.

I haven’t read this article, but I will say Friday’s episode was stunning. Absolutely stunning. Stacey and her mum are the two best characters on tv at the moment, the two women that play them are such good actors…the scenes in which Stacey took loads of pills and was forced to be sick was jaw-dropping. The end of the episode too where she was taken away was so well written and so well made and acted. Credit where credit’s due, Eastenders do know how to do things well sometimes! I think the actors involved, as well as the writers etc, should be given A LOT of credit too. I’d like to see how the story continues…
…but I wont read what’s coming up this week…I never do…don’t like doing so haha! I know, I’m sad! hehe
I too, would like to see what happens with Stacey…I hope
she dosent fade into the distance, Then the next time you
see her, its all back to normal, and no carry on….
They both deserve an award for last fridays episode, I was
amazed bye Stacy & Jeans acting…Blinding characters
