Coming up on EastEnders

On Monday, fretting over Sam’s whereabouts, Peggy leaves a panicky message on Grant’s phone while Roxy jokes that Sam will be back as quick as she left. Phil reminds them that Sam’s due to appear in court soon and if she doesn’t show, they’ll be financially ruined.
Worried about the potential ramifications of Sam’s disappearance, Peggy suggests that Phil talk to the bank manager. She also receives a call from Grant informing her that Sam’s not with him. With that, Phil decides to turn to Ricky and Jack for information.
Later, Phil questions Jack over Sam’s whereabouts and despite his lack of knowledge, he offers to make some calls. Phil, however, is left puzzled by Jack’s willingness to help with the search. Ricky’s next on Phil’s list but he offers no clue as to where Sam is. Peggy reminds Phil to speak to the bank manager, but he’s seemingly distracted.
Meanwhile, a mystery man arrives on the Square in search of Phil. Minty’s puzzled when the man wanders into the Arches asking a plethora of questions about the company’s finances. Later, Minty warns Phil about the man who was looking for him earlier in the day and Phil warns him not to say anything if he returns for a second look.

As Jack informs Phil that he’s had no luck in tracing Sam, a police officer enters the Vic searching for Sam as there’s a warren out for her arrest. While Roxy vents her frustration about Sam’s disappearance costing the family a lot of money, Phil vows to Peggy that he’ll sort their situation out.
Outside in the market, Minty spots the mystery man from earlier and follows him. The stranger, however, realises that he’s being followed and tells Minty to warn Phil that he’ll be back for another visit soon. Realising that the man’s a loan shark, Minty confronts Phil about his debts and Phil’s forced to admit that he’s in way over his head, and has just a week to pay it all back.
Elsewhere, Ben comments on Roxy’s lack of action in the bedroom but Roxy soon stops thinking about what Ben said when she finds an address book in Sam’s belongings. Later, Roxy asks Dr Al on a date, and after seeing the way she treated Jack, he’s afraid to say no! Then later, despite turning up late for their date, Roxy kisses a bemused Dr Al.
And Jordan’s upset that everyone seems to have forgotten about Trina and he’s further distressed when Colin, the council’s head of parks, denies permission to plant ‘A Tree for Trina’, prompting a sit-in at the council building.
Meanwhile, Owen tells Liz that he’ll be out just in time for Lucas and Denise’s wedding and when Libby visits him too, she begs Owen to leave Lucas and Denise alone so that they can enjoy their wedding, but he says that he can’t.
Finally, Masood’s intrigued when Amira receives a letter demanding rent and another from HM Prison Service. Due to a severe lack of rent funds, Amira’s forced to look for another flatmate but has to tell Chelsea that she can’t let her move in due to her criminal record.

On Tuesday, Owen’s been released from prison and as he strolls up to Liz, who’s working on the fruit and veg stall, he tells her that he has unfinished business to sort out. Despite Liz’s insistence that he hide out at Jim and Dot’s, Owen claims that he’s not staying around. Libby receives a text message from Owen saying that he’s back on the Square, so she quickly makes her excuses and leaves the wedding chaos.

Libby confronts her father as to why he’s returned to Walford, and he quizzes her over what she knows about Trina’s death. When Libby leaves, Owen tells his mother that if he doesn’t get to the bottom of Trina’s death before this evening, he’ll leave for good. Across the Square, Denise’s sister Kim and her boyfriend Dexter arrive and let Denise know that Owen’s around. Lucas offers to sort Owen out, but Denise wants everyone to forget he’s around.

Later, Lucas tells Denise that he’s heading out to collect his suit, but she informs him that Chelsea’s already collected it. Frustrated, he reluctantly stays in the house. While Denise heads to the Vic with the girls for her hen night, Lucas is trapped in the house when the guys turn up with a load of alcohol for his stag do. Spotting Owen walking across the Square, Lucas smashes a bottle of rum and leaves on the pretence of buying more alcohol.

Outside, Lucas confronts Owen, but Owen threatens to tell Denise the truth about Trina’s death. As Owen bursts into the Vic, the music stops and Owen shouts at Denise not to marry Lucas because he’s dangerous. He goes on to shout that he’ll uncover the truth about Trina. As Libby storms out of the pub, Owen follows. Chelsea, meanwhile, is troubled by Owen’s outburst.
While the lads tie Lucas to a gate, Owen’s packing his belongings to leave Walford. Chelsea turns up and demands that he stop throwing accusations over Trina’s death around as Denise has Trina’s bracelet. With that, Chelsea confesses to Owen that Lucas asked her to keep the existence of Trina’s bracelet a secret. At that moment, Owen realises that he has all the evidence he needs to prove that Lucas was involved in Trina’s death and tells Liz to cancel his taxi and find his suit as he’s going to the wedding.
Elsewhere, a man from the council tells Jordan that the hole dug for Trina’s tree is too big. And later, as Abi and Jordan lean in for a kiss, Abi grins at the last minute, ruining it.

Also, Peggy tells Roxy and Phil that Sam’s cost them £250,000 for skipping her bail prompting Phil to desperately try to sell a property. He also admits that he didn’t go to the bank for the loan – he went to a loan shark. Later, Phil reluctantly asks Ian if he can borrow some cash
Finally, dressed in a sexy nurse outfit, Roxy surprises Dr Al.

On Thursday – in a special one-hour episode – it’s the morning of Denise and Lucas’s wedding, and as Denise rushes around sorting her hair and nails, Libby checks the weather and spots Owen standing over the hole that’s been dug for Trina’s tree. With that, Libby bolts out of the house and confronts her father as to why he’s still there. He asks Libby to trust him and reassures her that he won’t do anything to hurt Denise.
Chelsea and Denise watch the exchange from the window and agree not to tell Lucas about Owen’s presence. Liz is also frustrated by Owen’s fixation over Lucas and demands that he leave Denise and Lucas alone to enjoy their wedding day. As Owen leaves, she tells him not to bother coming back.

Also, Kim and Dexter turn up and Denise asks Chelsea to keep them off the drink. But despite Libby hiding the booze, nobody had bargained for them bringing their own.

Later, Owen confronts Lucas and informs him that he knows about Trina’s bracelet. Attempting to remain calm, Lucas again tells Owen to leave as he returns home to deal with Kim and Dexter who’ve found the alcohol that Libby hid in the house. An argument between Kim and Dexter soon ensues and it’s up to Denise to sort them out.
Lucas heads out of the Square in the car he’s borrowed from Phil, and as he does, he’s stunned to discover that Owen is hiding on the back seat. After a short drive, Lucas pulls into a desolate spot where Owen says that he knows Lucas murdered Trina. Lucas doesn’t deny the accusation but as Owen continues to push Lucas further and further to the edge, Lucas unfastens his bow tie and suddenly lunges at Owen…

At the church, Darren and Heather glance across to each other while Libby sits with Adam. Lucas, meanwhile, stares at the crucifix as Denise walks down the aisle before the ceremony begins and the pair exchange vows and rings.
Later, Libby and Darren argue about Adam and Heather encourages him to take Libby away for a romantic weekend. Manda looks on, puzzled by Darren and Heather’s exchange. Denise and Lucas then emerge from the church as man and wife and share a kiss.
Back on the Square, the party’s in full swing. Darren’s taken aback when Manda confronts him about his secret saying she knows that he’s the father of Heather’s baby, but assures him that she’ll keep it quiet. Libby and Chelsea, meanwhile, embark on ‘operation love nest’ to turn Denise’s bedroom into a honeymoon suite.
At the Vic, Jordan makes his best man speech and thanks his father for teaching him the importance of being “honest, truthful and kind”. And just as Christian tells Syed that he loves him, the pair witness an ecstatic Amira catching Denise’s bouquet.

Later, Denise and Lucas head home and Denise tells him to stay downstairs while she gets changed into a saucy number. But before going upstairs, Lucas has one last thing to do…
Elsewhere, a debt recovery specialist turns up at the Vic to take Phil’s assets, including his Jaguar that’s being used for the wedding. So, having leant the car to Lucas, Phil claims that it’s been stolen and asks for another 24 hours to pay up.

Lucy suggests to Ian that they should use Christian to persuade Phil to accept their loan through Roxy. Christian then talks to Roxy about Ian’s offer of a loan. Meanwhile, the debt collector slashes a tyre on Phil’s car, prompting Phil to threaten him, and Peggy returns to the Vic and agrees with Phil’s decision to turn down Ian’s offer of a loan.
On Friday, delighted to have finally tied the knot and spent a much-anticipated night in bed with Lucas, Denise puts her exercise bike up for sale. Following a passionate kiss with his wife, Lucas heads out and is surprised to find Phil fitting the spare tyre to the Jaguar. Pleased that Phil’s not suspicious in the slightest, Lucas thanks him again for lending him the car for his wedding.
Later, Denise is frustrated that Lucas is dragging his feet and hasn’t started packing to go on their honeymoon yet. Meanwhile, Libby tells Darren that she’s delighted about Owen keeping his promise not to interrupt Denise and Lucas’s happy day. Having decided to take Heather’s advice, Darren shows Libby a brochure for Barcelona and reveals that he’s been saving up so that they can go away for New Year.
With their bags finally packed to go away to the Lake District for their honeymoon, Libby suggests that Denise and Lucas stay for a meal. Lucas, however, is distracted when he spots a council worker about to dig up Trina’s tree. Around the table, everyone’s talking about Trina’s tree having been planted over night. Lucas is unnerved when Denise admits that she knows who was responsible. As Denise proposes a toast to his new wife and life, Denise admits that she knows he planted the tree because she noticed the mud on his shirt the previous night…
Later, Libby finds Liz by Trina’s tree as Sugar the dog won’t move. Libby expresses her concern about Owen, but Liz reassures her that he’ll be back.

Meanwhile, after an argument about suppliers, Peggy’s mood is lifted when Grant calls to say that he’s remortgaging his house to raise cash to help the rest of the family. Phil, however, has set the ball in motion to sell the Arches and when Ricky tells Pat about the potential business opportunity, Darren overhears.
Later, just as Ian asks if Phil kept their previous conversation under wraps, he’s stunned to hear from Darren that Phil’s selling the Arches. Phil tries to reassure Grant that they’re coping and that the situation isn’t as bad as their mother’s making out. The reality though is that they’re sinking fast.

Pat walks past the Arches and decides to make Phil an offer. He laughs off her proposition, but he realises that it’s really an offer he can’t refuse. Phil then sits in the Arches and looks at Pat’s offer while Peggy watches a man heading for the Arches with a ‘For Sale’ sign. She quickly races over and snatches the sign from him as the locals watch on. Furious at the mess they’re in, Peggy reminds Phil about Grant’s offer to help. Phil, however, assures her that he has it under control and decides to accept Pat’s offer for the business.
On hearing that Phil’s sold the Arches to Pat, Peggy reveals that she’s going to Portugal to see Grant. Later, when Max turns up at the Vic, Phil asks him to join him in his quest to fleece Ian of his cash.
Elsewhere, Denise tells Kim that Dexter’s been flirting with Chelsea and Chelsea tells Dr Al that she’s still offended that Roxy was her “competition”.

Also, Darren offers to give Heather the money he’s saved to take Libby to Barcelona and Heather later asks Max for her ‘life insurance’ money back. Max, meanwhile, offers Ian a special deal on insurance but he declines. And Masood’s furious with Ian and his hot tub…
Finally, Patrick realises that Charlie and Liz had some late-night fun the previous evening and is disappointed to learn that they’re sleeping together. Liz and Charlie however have decided to keep their relationship purely physical.
