Coming up on EastEnders

On Monday, Masood’s horrified when he overhears Jane’s revelation that Zainab’s known about Syed’s relationship with Christian since New Year’s Day.

His fury towards his wife is further compounded when he hears that she knew before the wedding, meaning she had plenty of time to stop the wedding going ahead. Furious at Zainab’s betrayal, Masood storms out.

Zainab, meanwhile, turns to Jane for advice about how to deal with the situation. Jane’s adamant that Masood deserved to know the truth, but states that Zainab shouldn’t let their marriage suffer as a result.

Back at home, Zainab has a heart-to-heart with Masood and explains that all she ever wanted was to rebuild their relationship with their son. Agreeing to put recent revelations behind them, Masood and Zainab resolve to move on and make important decisions together in the future.

Later, Masood, Zainab and Tamwar sit down for a family meal, but the peace is soon shattered when Tamwar drops the bombshell that he’s not going to university. Zainab’s left reeling by his revelation and promptly insists that he’s going whether he likes it or not. Masood, however, is frustrated by her reaction, especially after their heart-to-heart…

At the end of his tether, Masood bolts upstairs and emerges with a suitcase. Zainab begs Masood not to leave, but she’s taken aback when he says that he’s not going anywhere; she is.

Throwing her suitcase onto the street, Masood forcefully pushes a screaming Zainab outside into the pouring rain. Gathering her belongings from the floor, Zainab looks up to see a hand reaching down to her – it’s Syed…

Meanwhile, a battered Christian lies in his hospital bed and asks Ian to promise that he won’t lose what he has with Jane. Back on the Square, Jane begins cleaning her brother’s flat following the attack. While there, Jane insists that Peter should fight for whatever he wants in life, and with that, he rushes off.

Back at the house, Ian’s searching for something in the cupboards, but he’s secretive when Lucy questions what he’s up to. Lucy’s further intrigued when Ian wanders out with a credit card. Later, Ian appears in the café and surprises Jane with a silver necklace.

Elsewhere, Peggy and Pat agree that their friendship is worth more than any man as Harvey continues to play them against each other.

Also, Billy steals another load of post, but guiltily reposts most of it. And when Dot hands Billy a package he dropped earlier in the day, he’s shocked to find a stash of cannabis inside.

Finally, Leon, Fatboy and Zsa Zsa are bemused to discover that Peter is Zsa Zsa’s secret admirer.

On Tuesday, Billy’s money woes continue as he struggles to find the month’s rent he owes Heather, but he assures her that he has the situation under control. Phil mentions to Billy that he wants Jay to look after Ben on the school trip, but Billy’s bemused as he knows nothing of the excursion. With that, Billy’s forced to break the news to Jay that he can’t attend the trip as they don’t have the cash.

With Ian refusing to give Billy an advance on his wages, Billy steals £30 from his money belt on the stall, but Ian spots him and sacks him on the spot. Feeling sorry for Billy, Jane offers to lend him the cash on the condition that he pays it back the following day. Under pressure to pay the rent, Billy turns to Leon and Fatboy and asks them how he starts selling cannabis.

Later, Billy heads to the club with the drugs, where he bumps into Phil. The stash of drugs falls to the ground, but Phil doesn’t see, and when Billy spots the R&R bouncer frisking everyone, he begins to head home. Billy panics when he hears sirens, before someone shouts for him to stop. Turning on the spot, he’s stunned to see a policeman walking towards him…

Meanwhile, Syed begins to deal with the fallout of his actions. Talking to his mother, Syed suggests that she either stay with him or return to the family home. Not content to leave things the way they are, Syed visits Masood and tells him that marrying Amira on New Year’s Day was his decision, not Zainab’s…

Syed denies that he returned to the Square for Christian, before handing over the Koran his father gave him. Later, Tamwar visits his mother and brother at the flat and reveals that Masood is prepared to see them the following day. While there, Tamwar lets Syed know about Christian’s beating. Sitting alone in the bedroom, Syed stares deep in thought at the graffiti on the wall.

Elsewhere, Danny asks Roxy for £700 to invest but she declines, however he manages eventually to convince her to hand over the cash when he claims that he ‘has another investor.’

Also, Ronnie lies to Jack that the club’s doing well, and when she asks the doctors about the cost of private care, she begins to panic when the private clinic asks for the first month’s fees in advance.

Finally, Peter’s jealous as he watches a loved-up Leon and Zsa Zsa, and Lucy’s mind goes into overdrive as she begins to think of ways to show Zsa Zsa what kind of a guy Leon really is.

On Thursday, a worried Billy sits in the hospital with Phil after learning that Honey and her father Jack have been involved in an accident, and it was fatal for Jack. With Honey’s dad dead, Billy begins to worry about what life would be like for him and the children if Honey were to die too…

Concerned about Billy, Heather attempts to comfort him, but finding the prospect of breaking the news to the children about their mother too much to handle, Billy rushes out. Phil eventually tracks him down and insists that now more than ever he needs to start acting like a father should.

But when he returns home, Billy checks on William and Janet and is left reeling when he spots his son playing with the bag of cannabis. Alarmed by the incident, Billy takes his children to Phil’s, knocks on the door and pushes them inside saying that he’s had enough and can’t cope any longer.

Meanwhile, Ronnie’s determined to raise the funds for Jack’s private care and so lets Max and Carol know that their rent will be increasing. Spotting Danny and Roxy celebrating their latest deal, Ronnie’s at the end of her tether…

In the café, Ronnie informs Ian that she’s moving out of the flat and demands that her deposit is returned. While Ian declines, Max realises that something’s not quite right.

Following a disastrous night at the club, Max turns up and quizzes Ronnie about her problems. Reluctantly, Ronnie admits that she’s trying to scrape together the cash to pay for Jack’s private care. Max, however, insists that she let Jack know that they can’t afford it.

When Max leaves though, Ronnie’s eyes light up as she stares at an insurance letter…

Elsewhere, Zainab and Syed arrive at the house to meet with Masood and Tamwar, and when it goes well, Syed and Zainab prepare to move back in. Later, Syed learns that Qadim was responsible for Christian’s attack and vows to visit Christian, much to his parents’ disappointment.

Also, Ronnie agrees to let Fatboy DJ at the club, but the night doesn’t go to plan when there’s a power cut.

Finally, Lucy and Peter continue to plot against Leon in a bid to expose his true nature, and eventually, Lucy breaks the news to Zsa Zsa that Leon was responsible for her pregnancy.

On Friday, Ronnie stops by the hospital to visit Jack, who’s interested to know how successful the club night was. Ronnie lies that it was a success, before the pair learn the news that Jack’s private care is scheduled to begin the following week.

Back on the Square, Ronnie’s defensive when Roxy questions why she’s so stressed. Roxy’s concerned that Ronnie won’t be able to afford Jack’s private healthcare, but a conniving Danny assures Roxy that their sister will be fine. He also insists that Ronnie wouldn’t want a handout. At R&R, the electrician advises Ronnie that the building is unsafe and the repairs will be expensive, so she’s forced to close.

Meanwhile, Heather tries to convince Billy that he and the kids can live with her at the flat, but Billy states that he can’t afford the rent. Jay claims that they’ll get by on the little money they have, but a downbeat Billy insists that he’s not good enough to be their father.

Determined not to annoy Ian, Billy asks Shirley, Darren and Carol if they’ll cover him for the day on the stall, but they all decline. Ian, meanwhile, is on the warpath; he wants the money back that Jane leant him. Jane, however, demands that he cut Billy some slack as he’s having a hard time.

Frustrated by Ian’s insistence, Jane slams her own money on the counter for him, before storming out. And while looking after baby George for Heather, Jane snipes at Ian that he’s lucky to be financially secure.

Later, Billy turns up at the club in search of bar work, but Ronnie breaks the news to him that she has no jobs available as the building’s unsafe to even open. A frustrated Billy walks out while Ronnie reaches for the insurance letter again. Hitting on an idea, Ronnie calls Billy, revealing that she does have a job for him after all.

In the market, Ian reluctantly agrees that Billy can forget about the £30 he owes, prompting an overjoyed Jane to kiss her husband. Arriving at the club, Billy’s puzzled to find that the door’s locked. Minty then arrives and hands him a package from Ronnie…

Inside, Billy discovers a note, a key and a wad of cash. Billy hesitantly lets himself into the building, and emerging later, Ian mentions to Billy that unless he returns to work, he won’t have a job to come back to. An irate and firm Billy, however, tells Ian where he can stick his job…

Elsewhere, Zsa Zsa dumps Leon after learning that he was responsible for Lucy’s pregnancy, however, determined to see Zsa Zsa, Leon asks Fatboy to chain him to her gate! Later, Zsa Zsa’s straight with Leon when she’s adamant that it’s over between them. But later, Leon reveals to Zsa Zsa and Peter that Lucy didn’t miscarry, she had an abortion. Back at home, Peter’s surprised to realise that Ian knew about Lucy’s abortion.
