Eastenders
In Monday’s episode, Lauren’s questioned by DS Grimwood about Max’s accident and it’s clear that she’s not coping all that well so Tanya suggests that they continue the interview another time, but Lauren isn’t pleased with her mother’s interference.
Suzy returns from holiday and is furious that Tanya didn’t tell her about Max so an edgy Tanya suggests that Suzy speak to Jack about it. When she goes back to the kitchen, Tanya discovers that Lauren’s disappeared. Later, Tanya finds Lauren at the café talking to DS Grimwood. Unsettled, Tanya pushes Lauren out of the café and tells her to keep what they know a secret.
Lauren then stuns Tanya when she reveals that she can’t keep what she knows a secret much longer and she’s going to tell the police everything she knows. She adds that it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out anyway. Following a visit from DI Keeble and DS Grimwood, Jack tries to console Tanya with the news that the police have no concrete evidence, but it looks like Tanya is about to throw a large spanner in the works…
Back at the station, Grimwood tells Keeble that they’ve had ‘a major breakthrough’ in the investigation. Meanwhile, back on the Square, someone has confessed to trying to kill Max. We see Tanya looking in the mirror, getting ready to leave the house while Bradley’s alone at the Brannings as his puts on his coat and Jack’s alone in R&R as he pours himself a drink. So who made the confession?
Elsewhere, Sean’s looking for a job and manages to find one at the building site and Zainab worries that she could’ve done more to save the Post Office. However, she’s cheered when the Masoods strike a deal with the building site manager for the supply of food. Meanwhile, Peggy’s upset that Phil’s moving out of The Vic but he’s angry to discover he and Suzy have been robbed.
Ian reminds Jane about the talent scout but she’s more concerned that her mother Linda has returned to Albert Square.
On Tuesday, Roxy happily clutches a set of keys to the new flat that Archie’s arranged for her and Sean while in the kitchen, Phil’s speculating about the burglary with Archie and they both think that Sean could’ve been involved.
Roxy’s furious with them for even thinking Sean could do such a thing, but when she checks his coat and finds a roll of money, she too becomes suspicious. Later, Sean’s hurt that Roxy thinks he could do that to her family and he storms out. He goes to the allotments and looks at the stolen goods, smiling. He’s completely unaware that Roxy’s right behind him and has taken a picture.
Roxy then insists that Sean return all of Phil and Suzy’s belongings but he’s worried what Phil will say and do. Roxy, however, has a plan; Sean should return everything exactly as he found it and hope they are never any the wiser. Sean later reluctantly accepts Archie’s offer of a loan for the flat, but a smug Archie takes great pleasure in telling him that Roxy’s already accepted, leaving Sean seething.
Despite Zainab’s apparent dismissal of the restaurant idea, Masood heads to the bank. On his way, he asks Bradley to hold one of the premises for him until he gets back from seeing the bank manager. When the bank refuse his loan request, he makes a mysterious call on his mobile. When he then returns to his family, he lies to Zainab, telling her that he managed to convinced the bank manager to give him the loan.
Meanwhile, the fallout of yesterday’s confession from one of the Branning family continues…
Elsewhere, Dot urges Bradley to go to the hospital as Max has gone into surgery, Linda plans a family reunion and Ben challenges Suzy to a cake making competition against Shirley.
In Thursday’s trip to the Square, Christian’s back from his holiday to find that there’s a surprise visitor at Jane and Ian’s house who’s waiting to see him. Christian’s intrigued about the mystery visitor, but as Jane’s being super-secretive, he goes to see Roxy but finds her stressed out that Sean’s thrown another wobbly. Later, in The Vic, Christian’s reunited with his mother and is secretly happy when Jane tells him that Linda’s only staying for a week.
Archie’s adamant that Roxy should forget all about Sean; he’s not fit to be a father or look after a family, according to Archie. He reassures her that whatever happens, he’ll be there for her and his grandchild. Later, speaking with Christian, Roxy admits that she shouldn’t have taken the money for the flat from her dad behind Sean’s back. When Sean returns, he tells Roxy that Archie has way too much control over her and that he’s dictating their future together. Roxy reminds Sean that he’s going to be a father soon too, but Sean’s unwilling to listen and storms off again.
Later, Sean tries to see Roxy upstairs at the pub, but he’s stopped by Archie. Sean, however, reveals that when the baby’s born, he’s taking Roxy and his baby away from Walford – and the Mitchells – for good.
Elsewhere, the Masoods look through their business plan but Tamwar’s worried that if the business fails, he’ll have to leave university. Suzy’s looking at cake recipes in the hope of beating Shirley in their cake challenge while Shirley’s not impressed that Heather’s eating all of her cake ingredients. Later, Suzy strikes a deal with Ian that ensures he’ll bake the cake for her but it’s to no avail as Shirley’s crowned the winner of the cake competition. As punishment, Ian gets a face full of cake from Suzy.
