Andy’s furious and tries to run Cain over, but Cain manages to get out the way. Just as he’s about to leave Butlers for the hearing, Andy receives a visit from the police to quiz him about a road traffic offence and realises Cain has shopped him again.

When Andy doesn’t show at the hearing Debbie’s told the case has been adjourned and immediately questions her father. Cain eventually admits everything and Debbie rails at him for ruining her chances by playing dirty. However, when Andy arrives at Tug Ghyll later to argue the toss, Debbie jumps to Cain’s defence and warns Andy she’ll make him suffer. Has Andy blown his chances?

Meanwhile, Lizzie badgers Pollard for her payment after helping him the day before. When Lizzie threatens to report him to the Hotten Courier, Pollard has no choice but to cough up. As a PR stunt, Pollard takes Lizzie to a council function but it backfires when she gets recognised by a woman she’s ripped off in the past and they end up in an argument. They’re both thrown out by security and Lizzie’s later thrown out of the Woolpack as Pollard declares she’s put a huge dent in his campaign bid. Will David’s clean campaign trump his father’s dirty tactics?

Also, Maisie’s at the end of her tether living with Sandy at the Woolpack. Natasha tries to smooth a way for Maisie’s return to Home Farm by offering an olive branch but is rebuffed by her daughter. However, after another morning cleaning up after Sandy and being left to tend to the pub on her own, Maisie decides enough is enough and asks Mark to take her home. Natasha’s amused when Maisie claims she’s returned to please her, but secretly, she’s glad to have Maisie home. However, little more than a few hours pass before Maisie and Natasha have drawn swords once again. Can the Wyldes ever live in familial bliss?

On Wednesday, Natasha and Mark are at odds over Maisie’s growing attraction to Cain so Natasha decides to issue a warning to Cain to steer clear of Maisie. She’s distraught to find out that Cain knows she followed Mark and accuses her of using Debbie just as he intends to use Maisie. Natasha returns home and gets both barrels from Mark who witnessed her altercation with Cain so she’s forced to tell him the truth about following him. Feeling guilty, Mark assures her he’s never had an affair and is totally committed to her and the children. That evening, Mark gathers the family together and asks Natasha if they can renew their wedding vows. She agrees and the Wyldes are a picture of unity but how will Faye react?

Andy Emmerdale

Meanwhile, Andy’s worried when the CAFCASS officer arranges to come and see him. Andy tells the investigating social worker that he didn’t intend to lose his temper with Cain and is sorry, however, the social worker responds by telling him that the reason for her meeting with him is to discuss reports of domestic violence that she’s received. Panicking, Andy lies and claims he never touched Jo. Though the social worker buys his story, Victoria suggests to Andy that he should’ve told the truth. Andy explains that they have no reason to doubt him but it’s obvious that the stress of the custody battle is beginning to get to him.

Elsewhere, when Pollard turns his back on Lizzie following yesterday’s debacle, she ominously tells him that they have unfinished business. Later, Lizzie demands more money for her services at the meeting and when Pollard refuses, she pelts him with eggs. Demonstrating her front, Lizzie then interrupts a business meeting and refuses to leave until she gets paid. When Pollard threatens to call the police, Lizzie finally leaves but issues a word of caution to Nathan and the client to not get involved with Pollard. Will Lizzie prove to be a thorn in Pollard’s side?

On Thursday, Natasha sets about planning for a low-key renewal of vows in the village and she manages to lean on Ashley enough to secure a quick appointment at the church for the following week. With Maisie waxing lyrical during her shift at the Woolpack, word of the event soon spreads like wildfire. Mark and Natasha arrive later to be met with a barrage of hints and not so sophisticated bribery by villagers all hankering after an invitation. To avoid further earache, Natasha announces in the pub that everyone’s welcome to attend. Mark bemoans the loss of his quiet ceremony, but agrees with Natasha that if you can’t beat them, join them. However, Cain unnerves Mark when he congratulates him on his forthcoming wedding and makes it very clear that he knows Mark’s hiding something from Natasha and is planning on exploiting him to the maximum.

Elsewhere, Leyla mentions to Edna and Turner that David’s mended his ways and is now completely focussed on the campaign so David’s pleased when Edna and Turner offer to reinstate their support for his campaign. Pollard decides to cold call his constituents but fails to win any support and as the pressure begins to mount on him, he’s worried when he feels a slight pain in his chest. He heads to the Woolpack and feels another pain in his chest while eating lunch. David notices his father gingerly rubbing his chest and asks if he’s ok. Pollard blames it on indigestion but both he and David are worried. As Val hands him some indigestion pills, Pollard decides to put his discomfort to the back of his mind. Is Pollard risking his health to win the campaign?

Mick has to go cap in hand to Andy for money, insisting he’s skint. In the pub Mick admits to Zak that he’s months behind with his rent and is in danger of being evicted. Zak decides to put their recent differences aside and offers Mick a role in his latest scheme. Mick’s intrigued but when Lee makes an appearance, he quickly back off with memories of his grandson’s accident playing on his mind. Can Mick afford to pass over the chance to earn some much needed cash?

On Friday, David’s concern for Pollard grows when he’s subdued in the café. Leyla’s thrilled that Pollard’s campaign seems to have hit the buffers, but David can’t muster the same enthusiasm. After struggling with some heavy lifting at the factory, Pollard sits down in some pain and Val insists they go to the hospital. David interrupts them and Pollard tries to put on a brave face, blaming his condition on incessant election baiting from David and Leyla. David’s hurt and leaves, allowing Val and Pollard to dash to the hospital.
