On Monday, Mark worries about taking Natasha to see the flat and his nerves escalate when Cain pays an unexpected visit. Natasha demands that Mark gets Cain out of the house, but he’s reluctant to provoke him in front of his family. Cain leaves with Maisie and retains the upper hand with ease. Mark takes Natasha to the same block of flats that Faye’s in and shows her around an empty flat which he secretly arranged to do earlier.

Mark claims not to have seen the flat before but when a neighbour recognises him, Mark’s almost trapped. Natasha changes the subject and suggests she could renovate the place but it’s the last thing Mark wants and he asks that they leave. There’s a close call when Mark has to pull Natasha back into the flat to stop her seeing Faye who’s retuning home.

That afternoon, Cain turns up at Home Farm to talk to Mark. Mark asks him to leave but instead, Cain goads Mark by saying his catalogue of lies are beginning to catch up with him. Mark’s angered and grabs Cain by his jacket but Cain calmly tells Mark not to upset him or he might let some home truths slip to Natasha. Mark’s powerless to intimidate Cain and receives a final warning; he must give Cain more money or risk Natasha finding out everything.

Elsewhere, Nathan resents Katie’s stubbornness when she continues to give him the cold shoulder. Nathan proceeds to annoy Katie all morning and she eventually lets rip with a tirade about his treatment of her. Later, Katie’s furious to suspect that Nathan has informed her clients about the escaped horses. Nathan denies her accusation and tries to make it look like Katie’s being hysterical in front of Natasha and Mark. In a rage, Katie tells the Wylde’s she’s taking her business elsewhere, bas Katie shot herself in the foot?

On Tuesday, Mark tells Faye that she and Ryan will have to leave the flat now that Natasha knows about it. Cain winds Natasha up about the flat after she finds out the one she saw yesterday was a different number to the one Mark bought. Cain remarks that Mark has many secrets, including another woman. Natasha arrives at the flat and is astounded when Faye answers the door.

Natasha asks lots of questions but Faye insists she should get the answers from Mark. Natasha explodes and tells Faye not to presume how she should address her own husband. Faye explains that she has every right and Natasha’s world crumbles when Faye delivers an earth shattering revelation – Mark is already married, to her.

Natasha tries to run from Faye’s words but the revelations continue hitting her – Mark had a son with her and Mark’s real name is Daniel Lamb. In an effort to silence Faye, Natasha slaps her but a tearful Faye explains that she and Ryan won’t be going anywhere.

Natasha confronts Mark and he admits that he was married to Faye nearly 30 years ago and never got divorced. He tells her that he left her whilst she was pregnant but that he didn’t know she was at the time.

Natasha assumes he’s still involved with Faye but Mark strenuously denies this and says the only connection they have is financial. Natasha begins to listen to Mark’s protestations until he imparts another secret – that he cut off all contact with his now dead parents and never saw them again. Natasha, realising she’s never really known Mark, leaves. Have the Wyldes been destroyed by Mark’s lies?

emmerdale12-andy, paddy

Elsewhere, Victoria visits Andy and finds that he’s still in a world of his own and Paddy and Diane grow concerned about Andy’s state of mind when 3 of his cows escape and roam the village. Paddy accompanies Andy back to Butlers and can tell from the state of the place that Andy’s clearly unable to cope with running the farm. He attempts to address the problem with Andy but he just wanders off without a second thought. Will Paddy delve deeper into the root of Andy’s problems?

Also, David grows irritated with the villagers’ incessant suggestions for how he should improve the quality of life for his constituents. When he then refuses to get involved with setting up the neighbourhood watch scheme, Pollard tells Turner that they should create one. After a day spent going door to door, Pollard calls a meeting in the café and formally suggests they reinstate the neighbourhood watch scheme with him as chairman. The motion is quickly passed due to the boredom of his gathered listeners. David’s miffed to find out about his father’s latest attempt to outfox him and Leyla chides him for allowing Pollard an advantage.

On Wednesday, Mark makes excuses to his kids when Natasha remains absent while Natasha visits Faye and gets her side of the story. Natasha tells Mark that she’s visited Faye and informed her she’ll be returning home. Mark is utterly relieved, but Natasha states that her decision is based on the fact that the children must never know their lives are a lie. Can the Wyldes bury Faye and Mark’s secret past?

Elsewhere, with Nathan on her back about moving her horses from Home Farm property, Chas suggests that Katie ask Andy for room at Butler’s farm. Andy agrees to let Katie move her business to Butler’s, though she fails to notice he’s in a world of his own. Later, Chas urges caution in case Andy gets the wrong idea but Katie brushes off her concerns.

Also, Katie offers Leyla the spare room at Victoria cottage to give her some space from Lily and Pearl. Leyla’s chuffed and Katie’s also pleased to have another girl in the house. After telling David that they can finally have some alone time, Leyla feels guilty as she tells Lily and Pearl she is moving out.

On Thursday, Katie moves her horses from Home Farm to Butlers but she’s told by Andy to clear off. Katie hangs around to try and talk to him and notices that the farm is in a real state. Still unable to get through to a vacant Andy, Katie has no choice but to request a favour from Nathan. Nathan agrees to let her stable the horses temporarily at Home Farm but slyly insists she pay an increased daily rate.

Paddy pays a visit to the farm and is worried about the health of the animals. He also discovers unopened letters from DEFRA so Paddy explains to Katie that unless they can help Andy, the government will close the farm down.

At Home Farm, Mark and Natasha struggle to hide their problems from the children. Maisie tries to force the truth out of them but has to back down when Nathan doesn’t support her, but, after a run-in with Cain, Maisie’s concern for her parents grows.

Maisie apologises to her parents for her relationship with Cain and is horrified to hear they’ve paid him to stop him going to the police. Natasha lies to Maisie that this is the cause of their disagreement. She assures Maisie that they are a strong family and can survive the likes of Cain Dingle causing trouble. With Maisie placated, Natasha turns on her husband and it’s clear that there’s no sign of a thawing in their frosty relationship. Have Natasha and Mark succeeded in hiding the terrible truth from their children?

Still feeling betrayed, Marlon refuses to serve either of them and when Lizzie returns from the pub later, Marlon tells her he’s had to pawn the TV in order to pay the huge phone bill. Lizzie is finally sorry and offers to give Marlon half the money to buy back the TV. Marlon agrees but after Lizzie’s gone, he emerges from the kitchen with the TV, having hidden it away. Can Marlon trust Lizzie again?
