On Monday, with the weight of Jasmine’s confession on her shoulders, Laurel tells Ashley that she’ll find out what’s wrong with Jasmine. She then tells Jasmine that the easiest thing to do would be to own up, but when Jasmine isn’t sure, Laurel can’t help but notice the power Debbie has over her.

Jasmine confesses that she and Debbie are item once more while Laurel argues that in spite of everything, she must tell the truth to save an innocent man from going to prison. Wearily, Jasmine agrees…

Later, Laurel’s shocked to hear of Eli’s arrest and begs Jasmine and Debbie to turn themselves in. When they’re alone, Debbie tells Jasmine she loves her and that they have no option but to do a runner. Will the girls leave Eli to rot?

Meanwhile, Zak does his best to get through to Eli but before he can get Eli to talk openly, Mark catches them as they illegally fish on his grounds. After Eli nearly thumps Mark, Zak realises that something is very wrong.

Back at the Dingles, Eli nearly cracks under Zak’s questioning; Zak knows he had something to do with Shane’s death and won’t let it drop. However, they’re interrupted yet again but this time, it’s by the police who reveal that they’ve received the forensic evidence from the Dingle van. Without further warning, Eli’s arrested. Will he be able to stand up to police interrogation?

Elsewhere, Paul tries to find ways to spend more time with Rodney but when his father avoids him, Paul’s suspicions are raised. Eventually, Paul grows frustrated and asks Rodney why he won’t confide in him, only to be met with confusion from his Rodney.

Paul believes he can’t “get through” to Rodney and gets increasingly downhearted. He shares his concerns with Diane and Nicola but the confusion stretches beyond their group when Pollard overhears and believes them to be talking about his health. Will Paul’s dogged investigations lead to an unwanted discovery?

In Tuesday’s hour long episode, Eli’s grilled by Henshall and Williams at the station. They lay out the evidence and tell Eli that they’re pushing for a life sentence. Eli’s frantic as the police reveal they’ve recovered parts of a mobile phone SIM card and the chair leg used to murder Shane from a bonfire site at the Dingle’s. When the police give Eli one more chance to tell the truth before they charge him with murder, Eli breaks down and confesses all about what really happened.

Back in the village, Debbie talks Jasmine through her plan for them to leave the country. While Debbie goes to organize it all, Jasmine visits Laurel and makes out as if she’s going to the police. However, when Jasmine tries to leave, Laurel tries to stop her; she knows her niece is lying. Jasmine knocks Laurel to the floor and runs…

Jasmine’s horrified to see Debbie’s taxi in the distance and witnesses the police escorting her to a police car. She watches helplessly but stays on the bus. Scared, she knows she must run alone now. Can Jasmine really leave her lover and Eli to take all the blame?

Elsewhere, as Pollard grows more worried when Val buys a funeral hat, David has to defend his going back to Nicola and admits to Betty that he’s comforting her only because Rodney is dying.

At the café, Katie finds Paul reading an e-mail from Jonny who’s flying back to the UK that day. He sadly tells her he can’t join Jonny because of Rodney’s condition. Later, Pollard collars Rodney and anxiously asks whether his suspicions are true… Rodney nods his confirmation that Pollard has a life threatening condition.

When Rodney leaves to meet Pam for another tryst at the B&B, Paul and Diane fear that his bedroom antics may cause heart failure. Confronting his father, Paul finally discovers that Val’s been lying about both Rodney and Pollard’s health. He forgives her lie but bids the village farewell as he heads off to Australia with Jonny. Will Paul and Jonny live happily ever after?

On Wednesday, Laurel breaks down when she tells Ashley about Jasmine’s predicament and he tells Laurel that they’ve failed Jasmine.

At the police station, Henshall confronts Debbie with the barrage of evidence against her and claims that – along with Eli’s story – they have enough to put her away for the rest of her life.

Back at Mulberry cottage, Ashley’s adamant that Jasmine should face the consequences of her actions and decides to take Laurel to the police station. The police are furious that Laurel withheld crucial information and she’s charged with perverting the course of justice.

After Laurel has had to tell her story, the police return to Debbie and charge her with manslaughter. Has time run out for Debbie Dingle?

Meanwhile, at the Dingles, Eli returns a broken man. Ashamed of what he’s done, Eli attempts to dodge Zak’s questions about Debbie’s involvement. As Zak threatens to beat the truth out of him, Eli cracks and blurts out that he and Debbie were both at Shane’s flat on the night of the murder. Zak’s furious with Eli for not doing more to protect Debbie and soon realises that he’s the reason Debbie is now the prime suspect.

Without warning, Zak flies at Eli and pins him against the wall. Despite Eli’s attempts to explain himself, Zak reasons that no Dingle should ever shop another to the police. In a rage, Zak disowns Eli and throws him out of the house. Has Eli finally blown it with his family?

Elsewhere, Donna’s stunned to hear that Eli has been released and Debbie has been arrested. However, she’s relived when she hears that Ross is to be released but when she tries to explain to Marlon that she had no part in Debbie’s arrest, he doesn’t want to know. After Marlon shouts her out of the Woolpack, Donna’s comforted by Katie and reveals that Marlon wants a divorce.

Talking about her experience and marriage to Andy, Katie reminds Donna that the hurt will pass and life will move on. However, Donna says that she can’t cope with the thought of Marlon forgetting about her and moving on. Katie urges Donna to just hang on but she reveals she’s put in for a transfer to a station in Essex. Will Donna walk away from her life and marriage?

In Thursday’s episode, Donna picks Ross up from prison and the tears soon flow as he sweeps her into a hug. After filling him in on the latest developments in Shane’s murder case, Donna tells Ross that Marlon’s thrown her out. She tells him too about her plans to transfer to Essex, giving Ross a stark reminder that he’s due to leave for Newcastle that night.

Ross then says goodbye to Paddy, hiding his emotions as he leaves alone for the job in Newcastle. Will his departure lead to a reconciliation for Donna and Marlon?

Meanwhile, the Dingles rally round to keep Debbie’s businesses ticking over and Chas is furious when Carl comes round wanting the rent, so she warns him to keep away.

Relations between the Kings and Dingles are strained further when Pollard agrees to allow Lisa flexible working hours, much to Lexi’s annoyance. Can the Dingles pull thing together in Debbie’s hour of need?

Elsewhere, Ashley’s nerves are frayed when they still have no news of Jasmine. That afternoon, Zak and Shadrach pay a visit to Ashley so that he can talk them through the events leading up to Jasmine’s disappearance. Both families express their disappointment that neither girl was honest with them.

Though Zak wants justice for Debbie, Shadrach reminds him that Jasmine is the only one who can corroborate Debbie’s story so they need to find her as much as the Thomases do. Will Jasmine make contact with her family and friends?

On Friday, Donna tries to talk to Marlon but he can’t face her, despite the news that Ross has gone. Marlon returns to the Woolpack and his misery isn’t helped when he hears that Donna was there to see Ross off.

Over at the police station, Donna tries to hand in her transfer papers but the sergeant sees her distress and advises her to give Marlon one more chance to take her back. Katie offers her the same advice but Donna refuses. Fearing that Donna’s given up on her marriage, Katie ropes in Bob who begins to make some progress with her.

Back at the Woolpack, Marlon grows increasingly uncomfortable at mentions of Ross’s tearful goodbye. Chas goes to him to set the record straight and tells Marlon they weren’t having a leaving party. While both are wallowing in self pity, Marlon and Chas share a drunken kiss, just as Donna arrives to give Marlon one last chance to forgive her.

Laughing in spite of her hurt, Donna announces that she’s going to Essex. Marlon is unrepentant though; he’s sure their marriage is over. Donna’s mind is made up and she leaves the village for good. What now for Marlon?

Also, Lexi complains to Carl that the Dingles are taking them for a ride. Taking umbrage at their behaviour, Lexi collars Lisa at the factory and says that if Debbie can’t pay up, they’ll take the garage. Chas is furious when she hears about it and snaps at Carl in the Woolpack.

Angry that Lexi has started a feud with the Dingles, Carl has a go at her for making things personal. Are the cracks appearing in Carl and Lexi’s relationship?
