Coming up on Emmerdale

On Monday, Carl’s putting more pressure on Chas to get his money but she threatens that she’ll tell Lexi about their kiss if he doesn’t back off. Carl agrees to postpone the rent payments until Debbie’s released but Lexi is suspicious as to why.
Once they’re alone, Lexi complains that Carl always gives in to Chas and questions his motives. Carl refuses to answer which leaves Lexi even more suspicious…
At the factory, Lisa gloats over Carl’s decision and states that Lexi will always be second best to Chas in Carl’s eyes. Furious but determined to find out the truth, Lexi decides to cook Carl a romantic meal and asks him whether he loves her. Carl tells her he does and so Lexi proposes to him.

As Carl hesitates, Lexi says that she knows everything about him – referring to Tom King’s murder – and says they can make it work. With his back against the wall, Carl has no option but to accept. Has he made a big mistake?
Meanwhile, Aaron suggests that Paddy give Chas some time off to get in her good books but Paddy grows frustrated with Aaron’s meddling. He’s even more annoyed when Aaron – who offers to cover at the vets – spends the morning making personal calls.
When Aaron’s messing about in the office leads to Paddy losing a customer, he decides action must be taken. Sick of Aaron’s blackmail, Paddy decides to be honest with Chas but stops himself when he sees how down she is.
Pleased with himself, Paddy goes to comfort Marlon following Donna’s departure. Marlon’s grateful for the support but worries what Paddy may think when he finds out about his drunken fumble with Chas. Realising that Katie knows, Marlon asks her not to tell anyone in case Paddy finds out to which Katie retorts by saying Bob also knows. Marlon panics that soon the secret will be all over the village but does he have the guts to tell Paddy himself?
Elsewhere, Diane becomes worried when Lisa tells her that Andy hasn’t visited Sarah. When she visits him, Diane’s shocked by the state of Butlers and warns Andy that he must pull himself together to get Sarah back. With that in mind, she organises an appointment with Lisa for that afternoon, however, after a day tending to problems on the farm, Andy arrives at the Dingles too late to see Sarah.
Andy complains that he needs regular access but Lisa insists that he has to sort himself out or he won’t see her at all.

In Tuesday’s one-hour episode, Marlon confides in Paddy that he slept with Chas leaving Paddy hurt as he storms out. Arriving back at the surgery, Paddy’s horrified to find Aaron giving a bag of drugs to a dodgy friend but both lads leg it before Paddy can stop them.
Chas is taken aback when Paddy tells her about the robbery but refuses to talk to him about it after news reaches her of Carl and Lexi’s engagement. She retreats to the Dingles to find Aaron stashing his profits so when Chas claims the money, Aaron attacks her, only to be hauled off by an angry Zak.
When Aaron shows Zak his vulnerable side, he decides to give him once last chance and tells him to go back to the Dingle’s farm. Chas returns to Paddy’s to collect her belongings and she’s stunned when Paddy admits his feelings for her. With a wealth of other problems on her mind, Chas can’t respond and leaves. Can Chas get back on track with Paddy and Aaron?
Also, Lisa informs Diane about Andy’s lateness and reiterates her threat to prevent further access. Diane then offers Mick some more work to ease the pressure at Butlers but Andy’s furious with her for going over his head. However, Diane’s adamant that he must accept the help.
Mick battles with Andy’s indifference and when Mark calls round for the rent, Andy’s day gets even worse. Even a surprise visit from Diane and Sarah can’t raise his mood. Mark’s the latest in a long line of people to instruct Andy to get his house in order. Later, Andy tells Diane he wants to quit the farm as he’ll never be able to raise Sarah and run the place alone.
Meanwhile, with no word from Terry, Brenda decides to send him an email to find out what’s going on. Bob complains to Gennie that Brenda’s neediness is driving him up the wall and on overhearing, Leyla offers to give Brenda a massage to ease the tension. Brenda’s highly sceptical but agrees to go along with it, soon enjoying the experience.
Afterwards, Leyla applies a face pack to Gennie and Brenda, who ignore the ‘interesting’ smell of the cream. However, Brenda soon breaks out in a rash and Leyla’s forced to admit she borrowed the cream from Pearl’s bathroom. They discover it was corn cream and Brenda’s left looking – literally – red faced.
On Wednesday, Gennie and Leyla are in Brenda’s bad books following the aromatherapy fiasco. When it then transpires that Leyla’s spent the money Gennie paid her for the treatment, Gennie angrily states that they’re no longer friends. Bob tries to cheer Brenda up by setting up a webcam so she can talk to Terry.
After speaking with him, Brenda’s surprised when TJ steps in front of the webcam. She’s stunned when TJ announces that neither he nor his dad are missing her and would rather stay with Jean. Brenda’s deeply upset and tries to drown her sorrows, only to have Doug rescue her.
After he takes her home, Brenda tries to kiss him but Doug pulls away, not wanting to take advantage. Will Brenda forsake Terry for Doug?

Elsewhere, Zak tries to integrate Aaron into the family by arranging a shift at Debbie’s garage for him, despite Lisa’s reservations. Under Daz’s supervision, Aaron sets about washing cars but Daz decides to play a prank on him.
Telling Aaron to jack up an expensive car, Daz instructs him to put the car in reverse and floor it to make the clock go back. However the car slips from the jack and flies into a wall, much to Lisa’s horror. When she tries to frogmarch Aaron home, Daz jumps to his defence and accepts the blame.
Unfortunately Chas hears only half the story and rails at Aaron for his behaviour, only to backtrack when Lisa fills her in. Aaron isn’t interested in her apologies and it seems as though the warring mother and son are back to square one.
Also, Leyla’s looking forward to attending the gig with David and it seems that romance could be in the air. Pollard voices his frustration with David over dating a member of staff but is given short shrift by his son. David’s steaming drunk by the end of the night and Leyla enlists her friend Skin to take them home.
Lily’s not amused when Leyla brings Skin back to the house but he soon charms her. Will Skin get in the way of Leyla and David’s romance?
In Thursday’s episode, Victoria’s furious about Andy’s decision to sell the farm. When Andy snaps and tells Victoria that if Jack cared about the farm, he’d be with them, she storms out. Daz tries to comfort Victoria but it’s obvious she’s missing Jack. Daz advises her to call her dad and arrange to visit him in Spain.
At the Woolpack, Diane’s stunned when Annie calls to say that Jack has had a heart attack. When Victoria and Daz return to tell Diane about Victoria’s plans to go to Spain, both are shocked to find Diane and Andy in bits.
Fighting back the tears, Diane gently tells them about Jack and sadly says that he died in hospital. The Sugdens are silent as the heartbreaking news begins to sink in.
Meanwhile, Nicola and Jimmy find each other to be pleasant company as they share a drink in the Woolpack. When the drunken pair are asked to leave, Jimmy buys some cans and they retire to the back of one of the King’s trucks.

As they raise a toast to being the two biggest losers in the village, Nicola kisses Jimmy on the lips. He hesitates before launching into a full-on snog! The passion escalates until they lapse into a post-coital sleep. However, the van is then taken out by a member of staff and takes the dozing pair on an unplanned trip. Where will Jimmy and Nicola end up?
Elsewhere, Skin charms Lily and Pearl but when they leave for the factory, he breaks into their house. Leyla’s pleased when David jealously asks whether she spent the night with Skin and later, when Pearl returns home to find Skin with a bag of valuables, he legs it outside.

As Pearl gives chase, Skin runs towards David’s van and as the door flies open, Skin’s knocked on his back and David’s proclaimed a hero. Leyla rewards David with a peck on the cheek, but can they resurrect their faltering courtship?
On Friday, Val feels for Diane when she tries to stay strong for the kids. Andy insists on grieving alone and when Mick arrives to pay his respects, Andy laments that he isn’t half the man Jack was.
Back at the Woolpack, Val asks Katie to convince Andy to help with the funeral arrangements as Diane’s heading off to Spain to bring Jack’s body back.

Later that morning, Lisa takes Sarah to visit Andy and Katie arrives soon afterwards. Katie asks Andy to support his family but he angrily tells her to leave. Katie returns to the Woolpack to deliver the bad news and Diane leaves for Spain after asking Val and Pollard to handle the funeral arrangements.
An angry Val sets out for Butlers to confront Andy with his responsibilities. She reminds him that Jack’s passing leaves him one option – to step up and be the man his father would be proud of. Will Andy come through for the Sugdens?

Nicola’s alarmed when she wakes up next to Jimmy and her anxiety rises when she realises the truck is near Hull, which means she’s late for work at Home Farm. When the taxi turns up to take them home, Nicola’s misery is complete when Jimmy insists on going dutch for the fare.
Back in the village, Nicola asks Jimmy to hide behind the taxi so that David won’t see him but the car drives off exposing Jimmy and leaving Nicola deeply embarrassed. Her day gets even worse when she’s sent home from work by Natasha after the Wyldes disapprove of her unkempt appearance. Will Nicola’s luck ever turn around?
