Suspicion aroused, Laurel airs her concerns to Ashley about Sally’s inconsistency and after failing to get any reaction other than sorrow for his ex, a frustrated Laurel takes it upon herself to address the matter with a coy Sally. Later, Ashley returns home to be confronted with an announcement from Sally that she’ll be out of their hair by the end of the week. She’s pleased when it causes tension between him and Laurel. On Tuesday, keen to keep the pressure on Sally to move out, Laurel takes the day off work to help her house hunt, much to Sally’s displeasure. Returning to Mulberry, Laurel’s visibly frustrated at Sally’s lack of enthusiasm, and when a distressed Sally receives a phone call from Vincent, Ashley insists that she stay as long as she needs.

Later, Vincent arrives, wanting to confide in Ashley after discovering Sally’s not staying at her mothers as he believed. Concerned for Sally’s safety, Ashley hears Vincent out, but doesn’t believe Vincent’s tales of woe. In a bid to get Vincent out of the village, Ashley assures him that he’ll be in touch should he find out where Sally is. Ashley returns to the house and Laurel’s furious to find that he’s lied to Vincent about Sally’s whereabouts. Will Sally’s presence continue to drive Laurel and Ashley apart?

On Wednesday, Sally notices the tension between Ashley and Laurel, who’s still furious that Ashley lied for Sally. Attempting to appease the situation with Laurel, Sally asks if they can talk. Laurel suggests that Sally needs to speak to Vincent if she ever hopes to move on and feels reassured when Sally agrees.

However, when Ashley arrives, Sally starts crying and tells him that Laurel’s furious with her for not going back to Vincent and has pressured her to call. Ashley’s left defending Sally’s decision not to call Vincent and furious Laurel calls Vincent herself and arranges to meet him. Will Laurel go through with her arrangement to meet Vincent?

Complaining to Faye about his brother’s attitude, Nikhil’s left seething when Jimmy arrives to hand over the signed contract that Jai had given him earlier. Later, when Jai returns to the office, a furious Nikhil confronts his actions. Having heard enough of Nikhil’s lecture, Jai is pushed to reveal that he’s actually the owner of the company having bought their father out. Nikhil’s left stunned; will he ever forgive his brother?

As an argument breaks out between the estranged couple, Doug goes to find Ashley who arrives back to find Vincent being very aggressive towards a vulnerable Sally. Laurel spots the commotion and races in behind her husband to witness an irate Vincent bearing down on his wife. Outnumbered and incensed, Vincent squares up to Ashley, leaving Laurel feeling terrible for doubting Sally. Was Sally telling the truth about Vincent?

Meanwhile, the impending dinner with her son’s new beau has Faye on edge, so she goes to the Woolpack for a quick drink to settle her nerves. The conversation at the bar is quick to turn to Katie and Ryan’s blossoming romance, and Bob reveals a few of Katie’s skeletons to a concerned Faye.

Elsewhere in the village, Natasha is livid with Mark for showing a vested interest in Katie’s meal with Ryan and Faye, biting that his focus should remain on his family closer to home. Taking Natasha’s comments on board, Mark tracks down Nathan in the Woolpack, and, offering him an olive branch, Mark tells Nathan that he’s booked them a game of golf and that he’d like him to come to a family dinner later on that evening. At 8pm, Vincent lunges towards Ashley, sending him off balance. Regaining his composure, Ashley makes his own rush towards Vincent, aiming to propel him out of the door. Confused by Sally’s self-pity, Vincent refuses to leave without her and thumps Ashley on the nose. Playing the martyr, Sally claims that this is what she’s had to put up with for years.

Dejected and bemused at his wife’s comments, a beaten Vincent walks away, leaving Ashley consoling a weeping Sally on the doorstep. Feeling guilt-ridden, Laurel confesses all to a furious Ashley in private, before admitting her actions to Doug and Sally. The atmosphere’s tense in the house as Sally appears on the stairs with her suitcase. Will Laurel apologise for her misjudgement and ask Sally to stay?

Meanwhile, as Katie’s attempting to justify her past to Ryan, Mark approaches them both, curious as to why they aren’t enjoying their dinner with Faye. Ryan explains that things didn’t quite go according to plan, and on impulse, Mark heads over to Tenants Cottage.

On Friday, dressed to the nines, Faye’s glad to have the excuse of paying Katie a visit at Home Farm to apologise for her behaviour. Faye’s pleased to see that her presence has clearly rattled both Nathan and Natasha. Livid at Faye’s impromptu visit, Natasha later tells Mark that she was blatantly hoping to bump into him.

Later Mark’s thrown when he arrives to confront Faye and she answers the door looking stunning. Teasing that he can’t stay away, they both go inside and a pacing Mark lets his façade slip, ranting that Faye’s been using Cain to make him jealous. Coolly registering his torment, a moment passes between them before Faye shows Mark the door, leaving him desperately fighting his feelings and her struggling to keep a check on her own emotions. Will Mark continue to play such a dangerous game?

At the farm shop, David grudgingly agrees when Leyla praises Nathan for securing him a lucrative cleaning contract. Moments later, Nathan interrupts them and David reluctantly thanks him for his efforts. Pleased to have the upper hand, Nathan offers to buy David a drink to celebrate, but he awkwardly insists he’s too busy to accept.
