Coming up on Emmerdale

On Monday, Marlon receives a visiting order from Debbie and decides to use the opportunity to convince her to see Eli. However, on his arrival, Debbie sticks to her guns and insists that she won’t see Eli. Marlon refuses to give in and starts to make progress when Debbie reacts to the news that Eli tried to turn himself in to save her. Marlon then questions why Jasmine didn’t receive the ‘cold shoulder’ for abandoning her when Eli hasn’t and Debbie is increasingly coming round to the idea of having a visit with Eli.
When she then tells him about Jasmine’s phone call, Marlon presses Debbie to reveal where Jasmine was calling from. Debbie guiltily reveals she heard Sandy talking in the background and Marlon later tells Eli that finding Sandy is the key to finding Jasmine too. Can the Dingle brothers rescue Debbie?
Meanwhile, Chas and Paddy emerge after a night of passion and she promises to tell Aaron about their relationship. However, the rumour mill is way ahead of her and a smug Lexi tells Carl all about witnessing Chas’s early morning ‘walk of shame’. Chas is relieved to get a semblance of a blessing from Aaron, but Carl struggles to hide his jealousy when the two meet at the garage.
At the Woolpack, the Dingles waste no time in getting their claws into Paddy and celebrate the news courtesy of the unfortunate vet. Later, Chas has bridges to build when Gennie reveals her hurt at the way she was treated over Paddy. It’s clear that Paddy and Chas’s relationship is going to be far from easy…

On Tuesday, Marlon informs Betty that Sandy’s back in the UK and so a shocked Betty heads straight over to Mulberry to find out more. Guiltily, Doug reveals that Sandy’s living with another woman. Betty’s livid at the unexpected development and demands that Doug give her Sandy’s address.
Ashley and Laurel are worried to hear of Marlon’s involvement, and after speaking to a distressed Sandy, Laurel suspects that her father-in-law may know where Jasmine is. Knowing they have to check if she is with Sandy, Ashley and Laurel decide visit Scotland themselves.
Meanwhile, Marlon and Eli do their best to convince Betty to visit Sandy but she storms out, accidentally leaving his address on the table. As Marlon and Eli race out of the village, they’re hotly pursued by a worried Laurel and Ashley so who will reach Sandy first?
Elsewhere, Jimmy persuades a reluctant Edna to talk to Scarlett who seems to be worrying about her relationship. Edna takes Scarlett to the café where they’re joined by Lily. Scarlett tells them that she’s upset that Daz seems uninterested in her now that he has the farm.
Lily and Edna both advise Scarlett on how to grab Daz’s attention – namely with some romance and/or a nice meal. However, Scarlett refuses to pander to Daz and decides to go it alone. Is their young relationship all but over?

Also, Leyla starts to worry that David may still have feelings for Nicola and she shares her concerns with Lily, who’s angry on her friend’s behalf. Taking issue with David, Lily warns him not to mess Leyla about to which David reacts angrily and publically dumps Leyla in the pub.
Leyla’s devastated but Rodney tells her that a beautiful woman like her can do so much better. Does Leyla have a new admirer?

On Wednesday, Eli and Marlon follow Sandy to a bedsit and wait for him to leave before making their way inside. Finding Jasmine, Eli becomes confrontational and accuses her of deliberately abandoning Debbie to her fate for something she didn’t do. Jasmine however remains defiant and insists that she’s only doing what Debbie begged her to do.
With a combined and sustained effort, Eli and Marlon start to make her see sense when Sandy bursts in and points a gun at them! A tug-of-war begins with Sandy urging Jasmine to run and Eli begging her to leave with them for Debbie’s sake.

As Jasmine hesitates, Eli lunges at her, leading Sandy to fire a ‘wild’ shot. While everyone else freezes to the spot, Jasmine makes a frantic exit. Laurel and Ashley then arrive at the bedsit and are horrified to see Sandy pointing a gun at Marlon and Eli.

Ashley orders his father to drop the gun and Eli runs out the door in hot pursuit of Jasmine. Has Sandy given Jasmine another stay of execution?
Meanwhile, Scarlett’s pleased when, after her own attempts at baking fail dismally, Edna agrees to make her an apple pie to impress Daz. She excitedly heads over to Butlers but is almost blanked by Daz and has no option but to leave the pie until later.
Returning from a day’s work, Andy asks why Daz is messing Scarlett about but his brother insists that he isn’t. Trying the pie for themselves, Daz is impressed until Andy discovers a ring in the pie and hints that Scarlett was going to propose. Daz struggles to hide his disquiet, but are Andy’s suspicions right?
Elsewhere, Leyla’s embarrassed when she receives a bouquet of flowers and assumes they’re from David, only to find they aren’t. Leyla’s morose at his dismissal of her feelings but the other factory workers are more interested in Leyla’s secret admirer. She’s later stunned when Rodney admits he sent the gift.

After sitting down to talk with him, Leyla agrees to go on a date with Rodney as she can’t face letting him down. With the factory workers questioning her sanity, Leyla tells them that she can use the date to “teach David a lesson”.
In Thursday’s episode, Sandy returns to Emmerdale and faces the music from Betty who is broken to hear he’s been living with another woman. While questioning him, Betty sets Ashley off who rails at his father’s stupidity, however, the day gets much worse for Sandy when the Dingles come knocking on the door…

Eli’s furious to realise that Sandy has no idea where Jasmine’s gone and, as he lunges at Sandy, he has to be held back while Sandy reiterates that he told Jasmine to run, but she didn’t tell him where she was going to go. Realising that they can do no more, the Dingles leave.
Later, Marlon and Eli talk later and realise that if they can’t find Jasmine, they’ll have to break Debbie out of prison. Is another Dingle scheme about to cause mayhem?
Also, Leyla gets glammed up for her meal with Rodney but Lily worries that she may make a fool of him by using him only to make David jealous. This makes Leyla concerned that Rodney might think it’s a real date so Lily shares her fears with Rodney. He shocks Lily by revealing he’s aware she’s using him to get back at David and doesn’t mind in the slightest.

He tells Lily not to reveal the extent of his knowledge about Leyla’s plan to the girl herself and Lily agrees but immediately starts winding Leyla up. However, David enters in the middle of the ribbing and Leyla’s once again humiliated. Nevertheless, Leyla and Rodney enjoy their date but agree they’re just being friends.

Eli begs Danielle to get into a fight with Debbie to get them both hospitalized but Danielle reacts angrily as she assumes he’s using her to help Debbie. She storms out of the visiting room and Eli thinks he’s blown it again.
Later, the Dingles are horrified to hear that Debbie has been hospitalised but Eli tries to assure them that he’s behind it as he has a foolproof plan to break her out. Will the other Dingles trust Eli to secure Debbie’s freedom?

Meanwhile, Lee asks Katie to go with him for a drink in the Woolpack but they are interrupted first by Natasha and then by Nathan. Later, a frustrated Lee tries again and is pleased when Katie agrees to meet him in the pub but neither of them notice Nathan is listening to their conversation. Later, he deviously holds Lee back at work making him late for the date.
Lee thinks he’s blown his chance with Katie but arrives at the Woolpack to find Mick singing his praises to Katie. Things seem to be going well until Nathan again intrudes and Lee is unsure when it seems Katie’s head has been turned. So does Katie like Lee or Nathan?
Elsewhere, Scarlett demands ‘crisis talks’ with Daz over their relationship. She complains that she never sees him and feels like they’re living separate lives and when Scarlett tells him she wants more from their relationship, he nervously asks whether the ring in the pie was a proposal.
Daz then realises he was wrong about Scarlett’s proposal and that the ring belongs to Edna. He promises to spend more time with her and it seems that the couple are back on track, but will certain other villagers be so pleased?
