Comic Con is only weeks away and today, HBO have confirmed that some of the stars of their biggest series’ will be there.

It was already revealed that famous faces behind The Vampire Diaries and Glee would be taking residence in San Diego next month and this afternoon, bosses confirmed that Game of Thrones and True Blood will also be in attendance at the event.

The Game of Thrones panel will take place on Friday, 13th July (unlucky for some?) in Hall H, while the stars of True Blood will host a panel the next day, Saturday, July 14 in Ballroom 20.

Warner Bros confirmed earlier this month that along with fan favourites such as The Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Supernatural and The Big Bang Theory, they also plan to showcase a number of upcoming and new series’, including Revolution, Arrow and The Following.

Comic Con is a long standing four day event, which was originally launched with the intention of showcasing comic books, Sci Fi/fantasy and film/tv and related popular arts.

However, the convention has expanded over the years to include a larger range of pop culture elements, such as horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels.

We can’t wait to hear all the news, gossip and spoilers that come out of the convention from the makers and stars of many of our favourite shows. Are you excited? Leave your comments below…
