Food Glorious Food continues tonight with its second semi-final. This week, three more regional heat winners are under pressure as they are tasked with recreating their dish for 160 fire and rescue, police and ambulance workers from the North East.
Following a successful first series, ITV Daytime has commissioned a second run of Britain’s Best Bakery from Shine TV.
Expert Judges Mich Turner MBE (TV chef, author and owner of Little Venice Cake Company) and Peter Sidwell (TV chef, cookery writer and restaurateur) will return to sample the delicacies of the nation’s favourite independent, family run and community bakeries, tasting and critiquing their way through breads, cakes, pastries and pies.

On the third episode of Simon Cowell’s new cookery series, presenter Carol Vorderman joins the judging panel – Tom Parker Bowles, Anne Harrison, Stacie Stuart, and guest Judge Andi Oliver – as they travel to the North West and see what culinary delights are on offer.
The team are geared up to find the best recipe in the country and tonight will chew their way through some of the nicest hotpots, pies and stews as they get to know the chefs, cooks and housewives behind the creations.
With a name like Paul Hollywood of course he was destined to head to America and today it has been revealed that the English baker and celebrity chef is taking his judging skills stateside.
The 46 year old star has been a baker since his teenage years and shot to fame recently as a judge and critic on hit TV show The Great British Bake Off. It was confirmed last year that US TV bosses were planning to make their own version of the series and today, we can reveal that Paul will be fronting the new show.
Sky Living HD has announced the commission of “My Kitchen Rules”, the competition that pits rival couples against each other to find Britain and Ireland’s most exceptional home cooks.
Chef and best- selling author Lorraine Pascale has been signed by the channel to co-host and judge the UK version of “My Kitchen Rules”, the smash-hit competitive cooking format from Australia’s Seven Network.
It’s fair to say that Simon Cowell’s TV shows have not had a good year what with criticisms levelled at The X-Factor on both sides of the Atlantic plus the failure that was Red or Black he really needs another hit show. It seems then that Cowell has looked to the success of The Great British Bake-Off for inspiration and realised that it might be an idea to create a cooking show.
The Great British Bake Off is heading to America, but it seems they may be expecting a different calibre of contestant in the States, than the ones usually seen on the British version of the TV show.
Auditions have started for the US series, but instead of the sedate affair that occurred when the series was made for the BBC, producers in The States are worried that their tryouts will attract some gun toting hopefuls and have respectfully asked them to leave their firearms at home.
The Great Comic Relief Bake Off airs it’s final episode this evening, as four stars battle it out to win the cookery competition with a difference.
Mel Giedroyc is back to front this special instalment of the BBC series, as the stars take to their kitchens and bake their socks off, in a bid to be named this year’s Comic Relief Star Baker.
The Fabulous Baker Brothers are back for a second series immersing themselves in a delicious world of flour, fire and fantastic flavours. The boys are back on More4 in February 2013.

There’s a real treat in store for fans of Come Dine With Me because not only is the Celebrity Christmas special airing on Monday, 17 December, but it’s a special with a difference, because one of the celebs isn’t invited back to complete the week of dinner parties after night three!
And that celeb is former Celebrity Big Brother housemate – and Simon Cowell’s former lover – Jasmine Lennard.
Things begin amicably enough, with Strictly Come Dancing celeb and actress Chelsee Healey hosting the first festive dinner party, which has a Caribbean Christmas theme…

It’s been reported today that BFFs David Beckham and TV chef Gordon Ramsay are to open a restaurant together.
Of the new eatery, which will apparently be in London, David told The Sun of his business deal with Gordon, “We’ve got something in the pipeline. We are obviously good friends and we are excited about a project that could happen pretty soon.”
He added, “It will be a business thing but owning a restaurant is going to be fun as well.”
And of learning to cook himself, David recently said, “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always loved cooking.
“I’d love to cook for Gordon and I definitely will one day.”
The enterprise will doubtless be one that Gordon hopes goes better than his former working relationship with his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, which ended in the courts and caused a massive rift within the family… Read more & comment »
