Coronation Street Actor Michael Stark, discovered his character (Jerry Morton) Is to be written out of the ITV show after the information was leaked to the press. His TV family Mel (Emma Edmonson), Darryl (Johnny Dixon), Kayleigh (Jessica Bardon) and Finlay (Ramone Quinn) are also being written out.

Michael told a reporter from the Liverpool Daily Post that “There was a leak, so I was at home when I got the news. It was very unfortunate, but that’s the way it goes in this business,” He also said

“You shouldn’t find out about your job like that, but there are a lot of sacrifices that you make in this game.”

Jerry ends up suffering a heart attack in the Rovers on a show which airs on Wednesday 28th of May.
