The Daily Star today reports that Corrie comedy duo Julie Carp and Brian Packham – who’re played by Katy Cavanagh and Peter Gunn – are to spot UFOs over the Street in forthcoming episodes.

The paper adds that the mysterious sighting will prompt Julie and Brian to dub themselves “Mulder and Scully”, and vow to keep an eye out for alien invasion.

Brian tells Julie, “I’m a respected expert in the field of UFO landings and I’m telling you what we’ve seen with our own eyes are the genuine article…

“This is our time Julie…beam us up Scottie.”

As the pair share a snog, Julie replies, “This UFO spotting business is really turning me on.”

A Corrie source told the paper, “This could only happen to Julie.”
