Coronation Street actress, Alison King is expecting her first baby according to The People newspaper.

King, who plays Carla Connor in the ITV1 soap has confirmed that she is “over the moon” and eagerly awaiting the arrival of her bundle of joy next February.

“Both Alison and Adam are so excited, they can’t believe their luck. It’s all they are talking about,” a source close to the couple told The People. “Alison is just over the three month mark and is relieved that everything is fine.”

A Coronation Street spokesperson said: “Alison and Adam are over the moon – they’re thrilled and delighted.”

I wonder if Corrie bosses will write the pregnancy into the soap, or try to disguise her ever growing belly? They could do a whole ‘who’s the father?’ storyline, where Carla would be torn between brother in law, Liam and tycoon Tony. Tony is due to bump Liam off in the autumn anyway so why not have him find out that Carla has been sleeping with both men and could be pregnant to wither one?
