Coronation Street loud mouth Becky Granger is to face hard times again when she gets arrested for possessing class A drugs.

In an upcoming storyline punters are to be left stunned as The Rovers is raided in a drugs bust and Becky is arrested after being found with a stash of narcotics.

A show insider told The Sun: “This will be devastating for Becky.

“Her future will be in balance after her arrest and her relationship with Steve will be teetering on the brink.”

The source added: “It’ll be touch and go whether she goes down or not.”

It will become clear to viewers that Becky was set up by her ex boyfriend slug and bent cop DC Hooch who Becky came up against in her last court appearance. After the raid he will whisper to her:

“Got you. Say goodbye to your new life Becky because this time you’re going down and I’ll make sure they throw away the key.”
