Coronation Street: Bethany Platt To Feature In Drugs Story

Coronation StreetSeven year old Bethany Platt is to feature in a controversial new storyline in ITV soap opera, Coronation Street.

The young girl will be seen taking an ecstasy tablet while under the care of her uncle David Platt. Harrowing scenes will then be aired, showing Bethany unconcious in hospital while her mum is unsure of whether she will survive.

A source from the show said:

“The decision to pursue this wasn’t taken lightly. It will make dramatic TV. The big question is: will she pull through?”
