Still in shock from being suspended from Coronation Street, Bruce Jones (aka Les Battersby) has apologised to any offence he may have caused during his drunken rant last week.
Outside his home, he said to press:
“If I offended anyone I certainly didn’t mean to.
“I am off the Guinness. In fact I’m off the drink for the time being. My wife Sandra will make sure of that.
“I am going to keep my head down for a while. I don’t like to be the centre of attention like this. I don’t know what happens next, or even when Granada will be getting in touch. Someone said it would be about a week, but I am not sure.
“In my heart of hearts I believe I will be back at work soon.”
