Coronation Street’s troubled teen Chesney gets himself into a bit of trouble this week.

The young ginger nut steals a sports car and given that he doesn’t actually know how to drive, nearly knocks down his neighbour Anna Windass.

He confesses all to Anna who then advises him on how to remove his prints from the car and helps him leg it before the police turn up.

A source told The Daily Star: “Chesney is still furious that Fiz is lying to him about John and the wedding.

“But his plans end up snow-balling out of control when he spots Rosie washing her sports car and decides to steal it on a whim. He watches the rich minx leave the keys in the ignition while she answers the phone and, without thinking it through, he jumps into the driver’s seat and speeds off.

“Within a few seconds of setting off he loses control of the ­steering wheel and heads straight for poor Anna, who ends up having to jump out of the way of the ­speeding vehicle.

“Chesney ends up crashing the car but luckily no one is seriously hurt.”
