Coronation Street actor Chris Gascoyne has admitted that he may write a speech in case he wins Sexiest Male at the British Soap Awards 2009.

Also nominated for the award are cast mates Gray O’Brien (Tony Gordon) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), personally I would put Chris at the bottom of that list!

“I suppose I might get a speech ready yeah. I suppose you never think you’re going to win, so I never get a speech ready,” he told MSN.

He continued: “It’s always nice to have a pat on the back for things that you do. It’s great. It’s nice to be nominated.”

Emmmm, last time I looked how you looked is not something that you ‘do’? It’s something you were born with surely.
