This week sees the back of one of Coronation Street’s most irritating characters ever……Cilla Battersby.

Cilla leaves the cobbled street for the big lights of Las Vegas, after her employer died and left her a necklace worth £45,000.

In heartbreaking scenes, Cilla’s son Chesney begs her to stay, but true to form, Cilla takes absolutely no notice of the child.

Daughter Fizz, isn’t so sad to see the back of her mum, but that doesn’t stop her storming into her leaving do in the Rovers (where else) and ranting:

“You selfish, hard-faced bitch – you are a disgrace to motherhood.

“Our Chesney needs you, and what do you do? You abandon him again, just like you’ve always abandoned all your children.”

Bye Bye Cilla…….don’t come back!
