Coronation Street’s resident psycho, David Platt is to have his girlfriends name, Tina, tattooed across his chest in a bid to stop her from dumping him.

Of course she dumps him anyway, but this isn’t the interesting part of the story.

Behind the scenes, some of the cast wound up actor Jack P. Shepherd and told him that he would have to get a real tattoo for the scenes, as a fake one wouldn’t work in front of the cameras.

Poor little gullible Jack made a beeline for the producers, begging them to change their mind, as a tattoo of a girls name could ruin his love life.

Of course said producers fell about the floor laughing, before they explained that each time Jack did a scene in which his chest was exposed, the make up artists would paint the word on his chest…..no needles involved.

Bet he felt like a total plonker!!
