David Platt has up until recently been the obnoxious little boy of Coronation Street, but very soon we will see David rise from a mere annoyance to an almost murderer, in another classic soap plot.

After hearing that he has been banned from his sister Sarah’s wedding, David decides that he will ruin the wedding by killing the groom….well I suppose that’s one way to do it.

David sneaks into Jason’s building yard and loosens some scaffolding bolts. The next day jason ends up under a load of collapsed metal and fighting for his life.

Gail suspects David immediately:

“How have you ended up like this? You’re so full of hatred – your eyes are burning with it,” she confronts him.

“You terrify me. I can’t take this any more. I want to believe you’re not rotten to the core but I can see it in your face.”

The storyline will air later this year as part of the build up leading to the departure of Sarah Platt aka Tina O’Brien.
