Fiz has always been one of my favourite Coronation Street characters. She embodies everything I like in a girl, a feisty streak with a heart of gold but she will let me down badly if she goes ahead with her latest plan.

The Sun have reported that Fiz is all set to marry kidnapper and cheat John Stape whilst he serves his two year prison sentence, in a bid to lift his spirits. Surely a box of fancy chocolates would have done the trick.

Dopey Julie even supports Fiz’s daft plan, but what does she know eh? She’s about to sleep with her nephew!

I hope this is just tabloid gossip. I hope they don’t bring John Stape back. He was never good enough for Fiz and he’s a bit of a wet lettuce when he’s not kidnapping people. I say the producers should set Fiz up with new factory boss Luke Strong or better still have her steal Steve MacDonald from under Becky’s nose. Now that would be a storyline!
