Coronation Street red head Fiz Brown makes a secret visit to her ex boyfriend John Stape in jail next week.

She makes the trip to get advice on her younger brother Chesney who she has removed from school after finding out that he is being bullied and the headmaster is unwilling to help.

Jennie McAlpine who plays Fiz told The Daily Star: “Fiz gets herself in a right pickle and doesn’t know who else to turn to.

“She realises a home tutor is too expensive and that’s when Fiz has the bright idea of going to John.

“The plan seems a bit out there – him passing her teaching notes through the prison windows.

“But I think it’s secretly just an excuse for her to be able to see him again.”

Jennie revealed Fiz’s secret will, in true Coronation Street fashion, soon be out of the bag – much to the shock of her Weatherfield neighbours.

She said: “Once they fi nd out they’ll be ready to stick their two penn’orth in.

“That won’t help, though. Fiz is doing what she thinks is best for Chesney.

“And there are definitely still feelings between Fiz and John.”
