Ashley (Steven Arnold) and Claire (Julia Haworth) arrive back on the street to stay at Eileen’s. Meanwhile the police question the Mortons and are given the impression that Claire (Julia Haworth) has a bit of a temper. The police then ask the Peacocks to do a television appeal for Freddie. The press conference is very emotional and Claire walks out when she is pressured with questions from the press. Afterwards Claire is faced with more questions from the police and she is shocked to discover they feel that she is a suspect. Under pressure Claire remembers about Casey and is convinced Casey is the one who has abducted Freddie. Will the police believe Claire?

Elsewhere Carla (Alison King) calls on Leanne (Jane Danson) to take her to lunch. Carla is surprised to see the kind of flat that Leanne stays in, not making Janice (Vicky Entwistle) very happy. Janice warns Leanne she can’t keep up with the likes of Carla. But at lunch Carla mentions that the restaurant they are eating at is up for sale. She tries to convince Leanne that they should both buy the restaurant. How will Leanne react?

Liz (Beverley Callard) decides to check out the competition and drags Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) to see Derek’s wife Linda (Sarah Parks) at the Red Lion pub. Liz starts a conversation with Linda. After they leave Linda thinks Liz has been trying to chat her up.

Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) invites John (Graeme Hawley) to dinner. Over a take away they start to kiss until Maria (Samia Smith) walks in. She is livid and tells Fiz she needs to tell Kirk before he hears it from someone else.

Violet (Jenny Platt) meets up once again with Gary, but will he be scared off by her constant talk of wanting babies?
