Coronation Street heads to London for Easter special!

Coronation Street is planning an Easter episode this year, to be filmed partly in London.

The special will be an hour long, and centres around Sean (Anthony Cotton) visiting his son Dylan.

A refreshing change from the usual ‘Soap Seasonal Specials’ which have a tendency to involve murder, adultery, fires and trams, this one looks to be a heart warmer.

Sean’s friend, Violet, gave birth to his son Dylan in the Rovers a few years ago, then promptly moved away to London with her boyfriend. Over the past few months, we have seen Sean get back into contact with Violet, and now it seems that access has finally been resolved.

Whilst over in London, Sean bumps into his ex, Marcus (Charlie Condou), and the two visit the sights together, which holds some unexpected events, according to reports.

Both Violet (Jenny Platt) and her boyfriend, Jamie (Rupert Hill) appear in the episode, which also see’s the return of Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) returning to Weatherfield, with a rich new man in tow.

This episode promises some classic Sean moments, which is something to look forward to, as well as seeing old familiar faces, and therefore is definitely one NOT to miss.

Filming on the episode – due to air on Sunday, April 24 – will begin in London later this month.
