Coronation Street actress, Helen Flanagan, has admitted that she has made a concious effort to put some weight so that she can be a better role model for her fans.

Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster on the soap, admits that she dropped to a size eight last year, but decided to put some weight back on as she felt too skinny.

“Last year I was a size eight, but I think it’s so much sexier to be curvy,” Flanagan told New! magazine. “I’m also aware that I have to be responsible.

“There are girls watching me on television and I’d hate it for a girl to think I was skinny on TV and that she wanted to look the same.”
