Coronation Street: Is Kirsty Soames a bunny boiler in the making?!

by Lynn Connolly

As fans of Corrie will know, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has found new love with copper Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) and on the face of it, his life just couldn’t get better right now…

He shares his house with Kirsty and his two BFFs, Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) and Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) and the bad memories about his former wife Molly’s betrayals are now blessedly distant.

However, I suspect Kirsty is about to go full on bunny boiler, as she’s displaying some classic symptoms.

As we saw in the last episode of Corrie, when Kirsty saw Tyrone chatting to Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) she immediately asked him if he’d slept with her, then, when she went home and found Ty, Tina and Tommy decorating a tree, she was infuriated that the one she’d bought would go to waste…

She is of course also insanely jealous of Tina, and even accused her of making passes at Tyrone last week.

I definitely think that one day, Ty will come home to find her in the shower cubicle going ‘ree ree ree’ or words to that effect, while a bunny is on slow simmer in the kitchen.

But o man, poor Tyrone! Finally he’s happy, so it’d be a shame to destroy that… but it’d be ever such good watching wouldn’t it?

And if she does go all Fatal Attraction, she won’t be first femme fatale to have trod the cobbles…

Viewers may recall nutty Maya Sharma (Sasha Behar) Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) ex, who tried to murder Dev and Sunita when she found out about their romance.

Here’s a round up of her reign of terror…

And prior to her, in the mid-1990s, Martin Platt (Sean Wilson) got his very own stalker in the form of Carmel Finnan (Catherine Cusack) who lied to his then wife Gail (Helen Worth) convincing her that she was having an affair with Martin and was pregnant by him, but of course, none of it was true.

Here’s a clip of the fruit loop in action…

I hope I’m wrong about Kirsty, but it’s not looking good so far is it?
