The unfortunate girlfriend of David Platt, Tina McIntyre, finds herself in a bit of a dilemna next month as she discovers she is pregnant, but doesn’t know who the father is.

She chooses Gail Platt as her unlikely confidante, and reveals to her that she is unsure of whether dippy David, or ex-boyfriend Matthew is the father of her child.

Gail takes the common sense approach to the problem and tells Tina:

“I’m not trying to tell you what to do, and you’re completely within your rights to tell David about the baby.

“If you do, I’ll support you. But I have to tell you, I worry about what it will do to him.

“And if he hears about a termination, I fear for his mental health.”

A Street insider told The Daily Star: “She believes in her heart of hearts that David could be the dad­ but she’s frightened about what his reaction is going to be.”
