Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine has admitted that this year’s Christmas episodes will be very dramatic.

Jennie plays Fiz on the show and is currently filming the festive scenes. She told RTE:

“What can I say? It is dramatic, really dramatic, but I think it’s going to be really, really traditional Corrie, in that there’s real high drama over the Christmas, but then real farcical comedy as well. Christmas Eve is very funny.”

McAlpine said that Tony Gordon’s (Gray O’Brien) storyline is one to watch in particular.

She said: “That actually gets really interesting. Definitely watch that space because it involves so many people. It’s really one to watch.”
