Coronation Street: “Joe’s A Good Man”

Coronation Street actor Reece Dinsdale has said that he believes his character Joe McIntyre did the right thing this week on the ITV soap opera.
Joe’s daughter Tina was about to lie in court after her boyfriend David asked her to make sure Gary Windass got convicted and sent to Jail. Reece said that Joe wouldn’t want his daughter to lie in court, regardless of whether he’d been offered a contract for 19 kitchens by Len Windass.
“I think essentially Joe’s a good man, and we’ve seen so far he’s had major money troubles and he gets himself into all sorts of bother but really I think he wouldn’t want his daughter to be lying in court,” Reece told MSN.
He continued: “I think he does things with the best intentions. It’s just that it’s complicated by this added sweetener of these 19 kitchens.
“A man in his position who’s on his uppers and his company’s going through the wall, he’s going to think ‘well, where am I going wrong here? All I’m asking is for my daughter to tell the truth and by doing that I save my business.’
“In some ways he thinks ‘I can’t lose, what’s the problem?’”
