Former Coronation Street actor, Johnny Briggs has revealed that he misses playing the late Mike Baldwin on the ITV soap opera.

“I’m finding semi-retirement boring. Very boring,” he stated during Coronation Street’s Out Of Africa DVD launch.

When asked if he missed Mike, the 72-year-old said: “Yeah, I do. I’d like to play golf with him.”

Corrie turns 50 in December next year and Johnny said that he would love to take part in the celebrations.

“Oh yes, of course I would,” he said. “I mean, I was in it for 30 years and I enjoyed every day. There wasn’t a day where I thought ‘oh, what am I doing here?’ All the cast were great and the technicians were great.”
