Coronation Street: Kym Marsh reveals that she took baby Archie’s ashes to her and Jamie Lomas’ wedding
Kym Marsh has revealed that carried the ashes of her late baby Archie to her recent wedding with Jamie Lomas.
The Coronation Street actress gave birth to her third child in February 2009, and later revealed that her and Jamie’s son, Archie Jay Lomas – who had been born 18 weeks – had died moments after birth. Marsh stated “Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much. Thank you all for your support.”
Kym and Jamie subsequently split but later reunited and the pair were married earlier this month.
The brunette beauty was keen that their son was involved in their nuptials in some way, so she carried the urn with his ashes to the church as she and Lomas tied the knot.
She told OK:
“I carry his ashes to every special occasion. It’s comforting to feel him close to me.
“Little Archie isn’t here today but we know he’ll be looking down.”
The magazine printed a picture of the grieving mum kissing a small ivory porcelain box after she and Jamie made their vows. Lomas remembered his son in his own way, wearing a pair of cufflinks engraved with Archie’s footprints.
