Rovers landlady Liz will marry boyfriend Vernon in this years Christmas special.
Executive producer Kieran Roberts told The Sun newspaper: “It will be a great New Year wedding storyline complicated by the return of Liz’s ex–husband Jim (Charles Lawson) who will put a major spanner in the works.
“Liz’s son Steve will obviously be at the centre of the action, but we can’t say yet if his twin Andy will return for the wedding.”
