Coronation Street landlady, Liz McDonald, is due to square up to Clarissa Mason as the pair battle for the affections of bookie, Harry Mason.

After wooing Liz, Harry decides to give his marriage with Clarissa another go. He apologises for leading Liz on, but Clarissa can’t resist making jibes and letting Liz know what she has lost. The jibes lead to an all out cat fight between the women.

An insider told The Daily Star: “As soon as Clarissa noticed the chemistry between Liz and Harry the rivalry between these two was set in motion.

“This battle is the first of many. Once Liz bars Clarissa from the Rovers the war begins.

“And it’s not going to be the best of times for poor old Harry either.

“He finds himself caught right in the middle.”
